Don't bot any account you're not willing to risk to a ban.

Read smithing script threads at the major botting sites: TRiBot, RSPeer, DreamBot, OSBot, etc.

 

No rudeness intended, but that’s obvious advice..

I’ll check out the few that I haven’t looked at yet., but I’ve been involved in most of the communities you listed for years and have already researched there. Just covering my bases from a third party perspective.

 

Avoid botting blast furnace. Got instant ban on my main after 3 hrs of gold bars with runemate about year and half ago. ever since then i've stopped botting on my main (got 3 botting offences quashed)

 

Ouch that sucks. Yeah, after 3 I’d stop botting too hah. Pushing your luck any more than that. If you don’t mind me asking, did you do anything to get them quashed successfully?

If you make it look like your account was stolen you have a chance of recovering, but not guaranteed. From my experience over the past 5 years, bots always get caught.

 

Yeah, I’ve heard that you stand a chance of getting unbanned if you use proxies as you can make it look like you got hacked. I’ve also heard that you have a higher chance of getting banned in the first place if you use a proxy vs. your normal IP. I wonder what the opportunity cost is on that and which is the right one. Hah

That's typically the best way to get opinions on a script, you did good research.
Some places like TRiBot offer a free trial before purchase.

Questions about script suggestions don't typically get much activity on Sythe.

Thanks buddy! Yeah, I really didn't get much traction from OSBot and TriBot forums, unfortunately.

 

Blast furnace is HIGHLY goldfarmed, thus bans are frequent. Avoid it really if you want to bot (tbh I'd just manually do gold - easy to get 400k/hr if you're half decent at 1 ticking banking etc.). Probably smithing platebodies (gp loss) or smithing dart tips (gp gain, slow though) over time with reasonable "play time" would be your safest bet.

As for quashes, yeah if you use a proxy and NEVER log into your account on your normal IP then you will 99% chance get any bans quashed (make sure you ONLY smith though - a hacker isn't going to play the account like a normal person would right?).
