Cat just died..

This isn't supposed to be a sob story.

Well I just got home from the vet and I had to put down my first pet. I had him since I was 5, which has been 10 years. He was like my best animal friend. I need ways to try and stop crying because I can't. I know this will probably get locked, but I need some advice.

Don't think about it. And if you do, think of good, happy times. funny things he/she did, things like that.
We had my dog for 15 years and we had to put him down because he had a tumor in his rectum. He was the best dog ever. Now whenever I feel sad, I just think about when we would play fetch with snowballs and whatnot.

 

Go to the moves with friends/family/GF and just try and not think about it, let it go. You can lay their and sulk about you're dead cat or you can go and have some fun and remember the good times, the choice is yours.

 

I had to put down my 230 pound Newfoundland (a type of dog), a few months ago. Its stomach got flipped and he couldn't digest food.

I got a new pet now and it so small compared to my old one. Its 70 pounds. almost 4 times less then my old dog. All i did was hang out with friends, you'll get over it.

 

Sucks... I cried when my 8 year old dog got hit by a car.. I was born with it a puppy.. :3

Why did he have to be euthanized? Just because of old age, or did he have some other conditions? I know the average lifespan of a cat is around 14-16 years, so he would've had about 4-5 more years to go for old age..

 

That really stinks.

Go for a walk at night. No matter whats on my mind walking around at nighttime for an hour I'll be fine.

His kidney's were shutting down. At least he got put down before he had to suffer more.

 

That sucks man, i can tell you loved the cat because i never bring my cat to the vat

 

I have had a similar experience recently, my cat, 77 cat years, Ive had him for a long time, he was 11, and he died, heart failure. I know it sucks man, and to be honest, there is no way of completly getting over it, you will find yourself thinking of him/her sometimes and it brings up alot, but you'll get through it, trust me.

Sometimes people have no where else to go, or don't feel comfortable talking to someone in person.

Whatever the case is, when someone comes here with a problem; we shouldn't have people like you being arrogant pricks.

Back on topic: I feel for you, I lost one of my dogs this past summer. I know it's hard to get over at first, but trust me.. with time, everything gets better.

 

Personally the best remedy is to rub yourself while your naked with cookie dough and other various treats (perhaps caramel or peanut butter). After letting it settle and ferment on your body, you walk through a part of town with tons of stray dogs/cats. Let them lick the various substances off of you. Feels great, really helps you stop feeling sad.

 

Sorry dude. If mine died, I'd cry too, just sleep.
