he is not disputing the ban itself, hes disputing the ban lengths

 

As someone who doesn't participate in the social atmosphere here on Sythe and happened upon this thread. This is my unbiased analysis and conclusion after going through the content of this thread and the users...

1. Idiot A is a member of a virtual goods marketplace website with trading practices that requires a substantial amount of member trust in one another to run efficiently. Sythe encourages members to be professional towards each other.
2. Idiot A continuously adds on to his list of idiotic behavior with precedence of him having no regard to his professionalism and displayed trust on Sythe. and knowingly breaks member rules designed to prevent said idiotic behavior.
3. Idiot A then gets upset and types a thread referencing each Idiot's behavior, which all deserved a ban anyways.
4. Now here's the kicker... Instead of receiving his punishment and moving on like an adult, Idiot A then finds logic in whining at the staff for the punishment he and every other idiot received.

I don't participate in this forum that much, but even I can say with confidence that the member rules currently and should always prioritize protecting and securing the rule followers from the rule breakers. The priority isn't to protect the rule breakers from the staff. If you're that much more concerned about inconsistent ban lengths, rather than the reason the ban was there in the first place, then it just means that you're probably going to break the rules and get banned again.

You got punished and the others got punished. Leave it at that, take it like an adult, move on, and be productive.

Let the staff do their job.

This thread in and of itself is a dispute. If he wanted to make this a more legitimate attempt at discussing staff favoritism, he wouldn’t have used himself and his previous punishment as the first example or have had the nerve to refer to himself in 3rd person.

I don’t see how you don’t see this as a petty attempt at trying to portray himself as someone that’s been treated unfairly while also delegitimizing/slander the staff, which from what I understand, he’s done multiple times.

This isn't a democracy and the member rules aren't a Bill of Rights. This whole thread and discussion wouldn't exist if the original poster intended to follow the rules from now on. From what I've seen the staff is very lenient.

I find it funny how those that are upset at staff are usually rule breakers and are a pain in the ass to deal with anyways. Yet Grave is still here.
If he followed the rules, we wouldn't be in this thread.
If the staff perm-banned him, we wouldn't be in this thread.
The staff has been rather accommodating to him

 

100% accurate, but you can't argue with immature stupidity, they will not learn and keep doing it, as to why this post was even made confirms it. Solution is simple, stop being immature idiots and doing stupid stuff, then there is no problem. If a user abuses report and move on, be the bigger man, if they can't do this they are no better and just as childish, and deserve punishment for their actions, and will just whine for it after like children.

Only reason I agree at first is we have common issue with Gun, then I find out true reason behind why this post is made and realize is just use to complain about punishment for rule breaking, which I do not agree with.

 

Exactly. This is basically an idiot with the desire to be the village idiot, but is unsatisfied because he wants to know what the opportunity cost is for being an idiot in the forum.
