Do you HONESTLY believe in God?

To be real , it doesn'T contradicts itself , it is maybe confusing but it follows a logic ^^. Oh i understand what you mean , yes it is supposed to be that way , "things a are existing and not existing" , " if you belive in something it is existing and not existing" that follows a logic.

 

If something "exists and also not exists", that is the literal definition of contradiction.

If there's a special logic you have to justify this, I'd like to hear it.

 

To believe in God you must first believe in spirituality. Realists will beg to differ on the subject due to lack of concrete evidence. I’m on the fence of simply not having anything to lose when believing in a God.

Ever wondered why people who commit murder saying "God told me to do it" get sent to an asylum?
Most Christians or people of other faith would say; "No he didn't that was just an excuse to use Gods name in vein".
What makes that any less believable than "God made the earth in 7 days" or "I had an encounter with an Archangel"
If you decide to follow a non-evident entity then stick to it all the way. You can't just have a selective faith because then what would be the point lmao.

Its one of those mind bogglers. No-one can truly answer this question. But I personally lean towards science. However, peoples views depend a lot on where and who they grew up with.

 

The reason (assuming that those people aren't lying) is that they have a mental illness that causes them to hear voices/receive messages from God. That's a genuine belief that they have. However, your average religious person, even if they believe that the world is 6,000 years old, doesn't have a similar mental illness.

Not particularly god. But I definitely believe in higher beings. Beings that we're not capable of seeing due to them existing in higher dimensions.

Impossible to say. I just believe we can't be the most intelligent life. We're living in a 3 dimensional world and there are 11 dimensions...

 

idk, i grew up in a religious home but growing up obviously my friends pressured me into doing other shit and i faded away from the religious life. Did i believe god when i was growing up? No, i only succumbed into making my family happy by going to church by giving myself an image of a child of god. I haven't been on that spiritual level yet where people say they experienced relations with god into giving them faith basically a spiritual high is what i never had. My personal stance on jesus is that he was a person that did good deeds back then, obviously helping the people out and he had that recognition through writing and that writing was passed down changing over time. But then again, im clueless when it comes to these kinds of topics so i stay my way out of it. Just my food for though.

 

What's the extent of your knowledge when it comes to dimensions?

I appreciate you sharing your life experience, but why do you think that Jesus was a person who did good deeds, and (presumably) nothing more?

 

Just the way i heard the stories like him walking on water and shit and when the time comes he'll show up in the sky. Bruh, i don't believe into any of that lol. But, the way people described him as care loving and when he fed all those hungry people with fish etc. Just gives me an idea of what type of person he is and based off what i read is the assumption i had of him.

 

String theory is not my strongest field. Hence my extent of knowledge is very limited. It can easiest be explained by comparing our three dimensional world with a two dimensional, e.g. a paper. A small organism living in a two dimensional plane can't see us, who live in three dimensions.

 

No I don't. I believe religion is a concept we created, when we reached a higher level of consciousness, to cope with our lack of understanding and to provide meaning. I understand the utility religion brings and think it is a great thing.

Also when a population follows the same belief structure they are easier to govern...

Those are really nice stories, but the Gospels were written by people who never met Jesus, about 40+ years after he died. I agree that the historical Jesus probably did minister to the poor though, just as many others have done throughout history.

That doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of what string theory is. For the record, various versions of string theory posit anywhere from 10-26 dimensions. It's absolutely not certain that there are 11, 26, 3, 5, or any number.

Well, when our bodies rot they typically release heat energy, as well as provide energy to the bacteria breaking them down. That doesn't form planets/galaxies, though.

 

String theory describes the possibility of more than 11 dimensions, yes. But these would contain all possible scenarios. Hence, all dimensions beyond 11 would collapse.
