an iPod is a marketing term for a hard drive with software that plays mp3s. It's just as likely to break as a new computer, you chimps.

I know graphics artists, 3D designers, animators and so on that wouldn't go without their Apple Macintosh. You simply can't get the same performance on a Windows machine in that field, and Linux lacks the applications.

You're making an uninformed and irrational claim. Furthermore, this is just bound to start a series of flaming. I'd lock something like this if I had the permissions.

 

was referring to the ipods, I have no opinion on apple operating systems. I know this thread is stupid, I wasnt expecting any sort of responses. I just find the whole thing annoying, Itunes is annoying, you need to convert every single song/video for it to play, You need to spend atleast $20 on a case because the things are so easy to scratch and then the thing is so precious you have to treat it like a baby or itl shit itself. Oh yeah and there earphones are so poor quality, Spent another $70 getting a decent pair.

I Know everything has problems, but Ipods have been around for years, you would think they would fix the problems from earlier makes.

 

My iPod is fine, however, I generally dislike Apple computers and Mac OS X. If anyone would like an explanation... ask. And Swan, I'll infract this thread for flaming as it appears but I don't feel that it should be closed.

Well I'm assuming that you have no experience with other apple products and you damn well don't have mac installed on your system. You might as well rename this thread to "My iPod has a problem". iPod's are the most popular mp3 players in the WORLD. Your one problem with a product doesn't mean that all of Apple sucks.

 

First of all, you don't have to use itunes.
Second of all, any mp3 player will scratch.
third of all, 70$ on a pair of headphones? Why

 

The batteries die consistently on ipods. and they expect you to do one of two things.

1. Buy their newer model
2. Get a ridiculously expensive new battery or buy their stupid warranty.

There's nothing wrong with 70$ headpones. Anyone really interested in the finer aspects of music, not necessarily the roaring (and higher pitched) bass the stock headphones give.

 

Ipods are completely over priced i prefer to use sansa's NEVER have problems with those.

 

I haven't had any trouble with my ipod but i know lots of people that have. Still, i reckon they are good overall.
