    Anime's I've watched:

    - Attack on Titan
    - Death Note
    - Code Geass
    - Fate/stay night, Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works], Fate/Zero, Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel
    - Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super
    - B the Beginning
    - Erased

    I've ranked the above anime's below (aside DBZ/DBS, as that's more something I've watched from when I was young, to now with DBS), to help you suggest similar style/genre/quality content type anime's.

    Note: not a fan of super-oldschool anime's, i.e, one's from the 90's.

    S+ tier: Attack on Titan
    S tier: Erased
    A tier: Death Note, Code Geass
    B tier: Fate Series
    C tier: B the Beginning (although, the plot content is extremely good, lacked in execution).

    never got into FMA personally but this is a great list and I agree you should watch all of these

    the irregular at magic highschool (also watch the movie) (action/school/magic/OP MC)
    gate (action/military/fantasy)
    rakudai no kishi no calvary (action/school/romance/drama)
    seven deadly sins (action/fantasy/supernatural)
    parasyte-the maxim (action/psychological/monster)
    mob psycho 100 (action/comedy/same writer of OPM)
    alderamin on the sky (action/military/MC is a genius and has a red headed mikasa best friend)
    the kings avatar (chinese anime, action/game/OP MC/fantasy)

    KK if you like Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul is basically the same thing with Ghouls.

    Watch Konosuba/Re:zero/Overlord/Tanya -> Isekai Quartet.

    Then watch Danmachi, How to Not Summon a Demon Lord, Sword Art Online, Darling in the Franxx.

    I'd recommend watching the 3 OVA's if you haven't. They're better than season 1 imo.

    Darling in the Franxx - A dystopian utopia involving a forbidden romance, uses kids to create a perfect world for adults.
    Elfen Lied - The romance aspect of this show is similar to DITF
    Naruto/Naruto Shippuden (skip fillers) - A show where the MC is an underdog and climbs to the top.
    Highschool dxd - if you want basically hentai with a plot
    Rising of The Shield hero - New show where the MC is taken into a new world and is an Underdog in the new world
    Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai - Romance/Supernatural type of show.
    Stein's Gate - Mad scientist accidentally makes a time machine and it has unexpected consequences
    Yona of The Dawn - Really good sadly no second season, A Princess has to find a way to take control again of her father's nation.
    That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime - Guy dies becomes a slime in a new world, slightly OP.
    Konosuba - Another isekai but with a focus on comedy
    Goblin slayer - fantasy show about killing goblins.
    Oregairu - Slice of Life/Drama, The main character is an anti-social student who is dragged into becoming a member of a club.
    Seven Deadly Sins - Action/Fantasy, Girl goes looking for the members of the 7 Deadly Sins to help her kingdom
    Magi: The Labyrnith of Magic/Kingdom of Magic, Action/Fantasy Show is a lot of adventuring and defeating dungeons in the first season, 2nd season involves revolutionizing the kingdom of magic
    Anohana - A sad anime that tries to find closure even after many years after a loss of a childhood friend.
    Edit: LMK if you want anymore and if you have a strong preference to any genre.

    No they take place after season 1.
    The cafe girls and yifan find out who he is, They create their new team at the end of the last ova. Season 2 will be him expanding his team and farming mats to enter the pro circuit.
    Season 2 starts this month and will have 24 episodes

    Oops, I meant season 1.

    Didn't the blue haired cafe girl already know who he was/figured out who he was towards the end of s1? As in the OVA's, it appeared that she didn't previously know, and just learnt of it then. Guoguo didn't know previously, and found out during the OVA's, which is fine, but the other girl knew.
