There were several hundred dollars of backtaxes and yard cleanup costs associated with the house. Also, it was in a rather poor neighborhood. Although, its still a good deal.

No it isn't it's in the state of Michigan which is in the US. But as shakaka said, Saginaw is a pretty bad town, I would never want to live there no matter how cheap the houses were.
