The correct question is: Why don't you?

I have seen evidence of what the bible says has happened, so why not believe the Christ part?

By the way, why are we letting religion escape SFA again? It should be against the rules. =(

"This book is correct on this part, therefore, it must be correct on that part."

I can write a book that correctly identifies cities in the U.S., and then make outrageous spiritual claims. Should it be taken seriously?

Shredderbeam, let me ask you a question. Back to the time of creation, Christians believe God created the Earth. The other poosible way the earth could have been created is the big bang. Now, if the world was created by the big bang, where did the atoms come from? How could of they just "been there", they would've had to be "created". Now, no human could of created them, because nothing was created, the only other way this could of happened is that God created the earth.

Another reason I believe in God is, like everyone else I ahve had trouble in my life. Some are very personal and have badly affected my life, so I pray. People say to me, well that was coincedence, and I say, I must be ther worlds luckest man then, because my God has answered all my prayers.

If this answer hasn't given you enough proof of God and hasnt answered your question of why I believe in Him, it will be hard for most people to answer that. It is there, the proof, you just have to open your eyes and look.

By the way, thanks for askin me the question.

    Truth.

By the way, the New King James version of the bible sucks. Use the old one. The verses sound better. =D

I'm sorry, but were you telling a fairytale or proving God exists?
Also, that is one thing I will never understand. Yes, it sounds kind of ridiculous that atoms were just there all the time, but it sounds even more ridiculous that an invisible man in the sky created them.

Let me send you a copy of a pamphlet I'll write later on today then.

Matter cannot be created or destroyed. The atoms could not have been created, even in an atheist model.

All of your prayers? Anything verifiable, like "Write a message on my computer that correctly predicts major events in the near future"?

My eyes are open, I'm looking, and I don't see any proof.

OKAY OKAY, lets say GOD DOES EXIST. Prove to me that YOUR christian God was the creator or does exist. Maybe Zeus created the universe? Convert me.

Well, I WAS going to give a good explanation, but my computer keeps fucking up.

Long story short: Evolution is shit, and there is more proof of the Biblical God then any other "God".

Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, merely lost or transferred. Your deity disobeys the Newtons' law of energy.

Just because you are a weak human being, and have to ask the back of your eye lids to help you, doesn't make God real. Your prayers were not answered, you simply got a neurological drive (impulse) to see something differently, approach something differently, and therefore you felt that it was the workings of a deity.

Maybe you should open your eyes, stop praying, and stop contributing to a lost cause. The name of God shall soon be dead, and the Earth shall reign progression and domination.
