Will Jagex Kill BH RWT?

Well, I think a lot of people are overlooking the new PK-ing update that's on the way. I am wondering myself if it is a solution to the Bounty Hunter. The Bounty Hunter was a quick fix for the lack of PVP in Runescape, and the question now is: Is the Bounty Hunter necessary with the new PK areas?

I think there would be a lot of disappointed people if Jagex removed the BH, or changed it so that wealth is no longer transferred (as in you can't loot the person you killed). However, could we seriously say that it would at all rival the disappointment after trading/staking were nerfed in December? I'd say definitely not, this would pale in comparison. However, it would take out the main transferring method in the game.

I think people should be concerned. Jagex, although being much less strict with RWT, is still claiming they are in a fight against it. We could be in the final weeks of BH trading. After that, the only solution would be gold farming, which is tedious and risky. Discuss.

 

Gold Farming is growing in the method of Gold Transfers, although yes, Bounty Hunter remains the main method. Well, there's nothing we can do apart from try to transfer everything now, is there?

Ehm i think jagex will keep bh as minigame. And u still can do fala party room. Bh might be gud but then you have to find another way. lol

 

They didnt mention taking out BH but if they do it would be a serious problem. Unless we could figure out how to manipulate the new PvP to your advantage.

They say it will be the whole world is PvP so...not everyone can be in all the different places....

 

I personally think that the new PvP will make transferring easier, since less people will use BH/new possible ways to transfer, and I don't think that Jagex'll take out BH.

I seriously doubt that they would risk taking out BH after the mass of people who left after the last pvp area was taken away. Besides when you think about it how many plays do you think have bought gp from someone or any gold farming website before? I'm sure almost 50% of people who are lvl 80+ have bought some. So when they take it all away people will get bored much easier and quit.

 

Bounty Hunter will probably be changed very soon, to where it's a "safe" minigame. I've also heard that they're going to do something with Party Room to thwart RWT there.

 

They might remove bh so junk method would be more popular

I don't think BH will go away,... I still can't believe they haven't added more caverns. The rant forums continue to bloom.

 

I don't think they will take BH away, because some people might not like the fact of PvP almost EVERYWHERE you go.

There is nowhere on the RuneScape homepage which says anything about removing Bounty Hunter. If they were thinking of it, they'd give us atleast 30 days notice, as they did with the trade capping.

It will actually be a good thing for us RWT'ers that these new PVP worlds are coming out, because once it does, most of the people who play Bounty Hunter will leave to the new PKing worlds, making it safer for us.

 

well in my opinion i don't think they will do such an "Evil" thing . but their will always be away to buy / trade gold.

This is very possible, and I wouldn't hold it against jagex to destroy what has become the new pvp of choice for many new age pkers.

This is completely different from the trading cap. The trading cap had a 30-day warning on it to allow players to return lent items, that is the only reason. If Jagex were to change the BH (make it "safe", which is much more realistic than just removing it), they would NOT announce it before hand.

I really hope Jagex's paranoia of RWT doesn't result in the alteration of the BH loot system. I'm sure anyone on RS will agree with the fact that BH is great the way it is now, if the loot system were changed, it'd turn one of the best (if not the best) minigames on RS into just another pointless arena. Only time will tell.
