    String theory. Fact or fiction?

    1. Nothing can be unmeasurable in math
    2. Go to the link in my last post if you want to know more about dimentions.
    3. In theory, the dimensions arent being held apart by a force, they are all around us, but we simply can't see them.
    4. Alternate dimensions would explain why gravity is the weakest of the 4 forces of nature.

    String theory. Fact or fiction?

since they don't have mass they can never be weight, and since they don't take up space they don't reflect light; it's just another explanation to make sure that there equations work. 99.99% of an atoms mass is in the nucleus, and a scaled example is a fly in the super bowl stratum, practable atoms are made of nothing, and were made out of atoms, so nothing is really dense. just makes you wonder. and another thing; the sand duns in the Sahara move about 17metters a year. sand blows off the surface and lands on another dun, now think about something in your childhood, something that you know you were there, you can smell it, you can taste it, your not that person you have rebuilt your body, your cells have died and new cells have been made, your nerve cells have changed you are not that person. Richard Dawkins says it better.

Matter/ Energy do have direct correlation in E= Mc2

String theory is not falsifiable with today's technology, but who's to say 100 years down the line? It is not God throwing down a magic wand, if you do some research you'll find multiple sites that point to methods (that do require feats impossible to construct today) to prove/disprove it.

Despite the fact of you being banned, I will reply to this.

No proof simply means there is an absence of evidence. An absence of evidence does not mean such is incorrect. I could say I run 3KM every day and not post proof, but that doesn't mean I didn't do it.

Nonetheless, I don't think many people here know enough about String Theory to discuss it in depth. Most people here don't even know the first thing about physics. Maybe try posting this on a science-based bulletin?

    QFT

The most I've seen is a Nova video and some online articles. Not sure if there are any true physicists here. Not entirely sure, but I don't even think the premise of the debate is correct... last I checked someone already bridged relativity and string theory...

the string theory also provides a valid explanation for the fact that we cannot observe 7 of the 10 spacial dimensions. I haven't heard much on the topic for a while, so i dont remember the exact specifics, but it was something along the lines of the fact that the strings are restricting the particles movement, and when the subatomic particles collide, they are released to move. In a one and two dimensional universe, the particles cannot escape eachother, and so the universe would instantly have become 3 dimensional after the big bang. once you reach 3 dimensions, the particles have sufficient room to move and avoid eachother, thus preventing the "release" of the other dimensions.

i personally agree with the string theory. and, the fact that it solves a large chain of of problems between theories. The quantum mechanics and theory of relativaty are just the beginning, there was a theory to solve that but then another came up to contradict that one, then their differences wwere solved by another which in turn was contradicted, and this repeats a couple more times until u find string theory is the solving theory. further than this even, the many exsisting theories created have so far rested perfectly within string theory. while this does not necessarily prove it, it does help reassure that a good portion of the theory is correct.

you are repeating a common mistake here...confusing parallel universes with dimensions. dimensions are the directions in which we move (including through time). parallel universes are other universes that exist alongside our own (supposedly separated by the 10th spacial dimension). however, what you do have right is that gravitons are thought to leak between the universes, which would in fact explain its weakness.

I think the String Theory is exactly that -- a theory. You don't know for sure whether it exists or not, all you know is that you have some evidence that says it's a possibility.
