[APPROVED]$1000 and up Donator Roles on Discord

Recently we added $500 Donator Role for the side-bar. I think it's fair that we add $1000 Donator Roles for the more valuable donators on site, such as @StickTalk . I am not to argue whether or not they should be there at all, but if we're going to have a $500 role, I think it's fair to add the next tier ($1000) for the top-donators on site.

 

I agree with the suggestion in a sense, although I don't think it should be titled as $1000+ donors. I think it should be named something along the lines of Top 5 Donors, and it should only be given to people who are within the Top 5 Donors. You can view exactly who is in the Top 5 Donor list in the User Center.

 

We should add a minirank AND role for every type of donor, from $0 to $10,000 specifically in $1 increments.

Put it this way, unless you want to cast shade and leave out groups of people on the site.... the discord needs to mirror the site. So either add roles for each tier of donator or leave it the fuck out and just keep the "Donator" role that has been on the discord for years.

Essentially you're telling anyone under $500 donator that they can fuck off and their $ not appreciated

 

So instead of giving an actual reason about why you disagree with this suggestion, you instead criticize the person who agrees with the suggestion simply because you don't like them, that makes complete sense. Please go back to stealing packages from UPS.

Also, there's no actual perks for donors above $500. For example, as a $500 donor, you have reached the maximum donation level. The only real incentive for people to donate more, is to be in the top 5 Donor list in the User Center. So instead of adding $1000, it would be better to add roles for the Top 5 Donors, to give people a reason to donate more to the site and potentially overtake an already existing high tier donor.

I didn't even have the $500 donor rank in the Discord until yesterday, when myself and Mentarley were selling gold, and he messaged an Admin and got both of us the rank (since I work on behalf of Mentarley Gold now).

 

That's why it's called a donation dumbass. You are donating towards upkeep of the site and to support it, not for perks.

 

That's simply not the case, there's a lot of people who donate $200 just to get a custom UI and a lot of people who donate $300 for the custom rank.

 

This is a cool idea. Rather than have any bullshit $500 donator/$1000 donator - just have the top 5 site donators on the sidebar of discord!

 

That is something the site has initially offered. You are trying to make requests as if you're entitled to something after the fact. Stop trying to change something.

As I said; If there are going to be user-specific ranks in discord then the discord needs to mirror the site completely. It makes no sense just picking and choosing.

 

I've not made a single request. Who said I was entitled to anything? I'm merely just posting my opinion on this suggestion.

It makes complete sense to add a donor role for each tier if we have them as well. You're simply trying to justify it for $500+ donors, it's retarded.

 

Well for mirroring the site completely, it depends how many donor roles there are. A quick google search will tell you that there can only be 250 different roles in a Discord server.

If you're talking about the different donation tiers as in $5, $25, $50, $100, $200, $300 and $500 Donor alongside the Top 5 Donors (the $5, $25, $50, $100, $200, $300, $500 donors are the different donation levels) then sure, I don't see why your idea cannot be implemented. To add donor ranks to the $5, $25, $50, $100, $200 and $300 Donors wouldn't be a big issue anyway.

 

A $1000 donor should definitely have some noticeable perks. I'm just not sure what they could be off the top of my head.

 

Support, I think all milestones should have a signifying badge.

 

I think maybe add $200+ etc too, it kind of gives us a fun pip.

 

The idea behind the new role on Discord was to add a new perk to the upper tier donors, which currently lack unique perks. We would like to motivate users to make the jump from $200/$300 donor to $500/$1000.

But it makes no sense to jump to 200-300 to 500+ for a Sythe perk nub ;p

 

If this makes sense - you say "We would like to motivate users to make the jump from $200/$300 donor to $500/$1000." What is necessarily there to motivate any user to donate $501+ ($1000) when the $500+ Donator Discord Rank includes everything $500<. Do you presume that down the road there may be a higher donator role on the discord or no? Or do you mean that we are looking to add more perks to the $500 tier? Thank you.

And for the majority (assumption), a discord rank isn't really a huge incentive to donate $200-300 whereas the upgrades through Sythe are pretty beneficial to your account. Similar to what Dbuffed said.

 

Yup this is a disgrace only way I will support this is if I get a colored name on discord also!!

 

Support, but I also don't see why we shouldn't add 25,50,100,200,300 donor roles too at this point.
