Good non-mainstream music?

Looking for good non-mainstream music. Any suggestions?

 

any genres in specific? i know a bunch of artists that would be considered as so

 

not really no death metal preferably

 

haha that shoots down a lot of what i would have listed. if you're into mellow rock/psychadelic rock i'd give the band Dead Meadow a listen. if you're a hiphop fan give Deltron3030 a listen or Del Tha Funky Homosapien. him and most of the stuff Anticon puts out is pretty good.

i liked the death meadow

 

yes, Dead Meadow is awesome. I think their self-titled album was the best work they put out; Greensky Greenlake and Beyond the Fields We Know really did it for me
