As some of you may know, I've thought it would be a good idea for sythe.org to have a forum dedicated to personal support. It never really went though because sythe.org probably wouldn't be able to support enough activity to warrant a whole forum dedicated to it.

Recently I thought that making a topic dedicated to personal support would be a good idea, since everyone has a question they don't feel comfortable asking someone in real life, or needs someone who will just listen to what they have to say.

I'm putting this in Something For All because it is meant to be taken seriously and maturely. Please do not abuse the assistance I'm offering to you, and do not make fun of anyone that posts for any reason otherwise you will be infracted.

If you've got a question for me about anything I'm willing to offer my own advice, and if I don't know much I'll do some research and see what I can find out.

Feel free to post your question in this topic, but if you don't want anyone else to see it, PM me and I'll get back to you whenever I can. If you choose to ask me through PM, your identity will never be shared with anyone else.

Nice addition to the SFA section.
Ballin, i cannot imagine the pain you are feeling. Time itself will heal you. It will be hard just find something you love to do and stick with it. What would make your friend proud?

    Hello Sythe,
I'll keep this story short. Someone I know likes(ed) me. I haven't talked to her since the last day of school of last year. I liked her, but not for specific reason. I would have asked her out, but my best friend said her best friend said "I don't think so" when he asked if she(the one who likes me) likes me. As well, she always had like 2-3 friends(more like body guards) with her at all times.

She was homeschooled until 11, which makes her very shy,but fairly smart for your average white women not in the kitchen.

Anyways, to the point of this post. She bleached her hair from shiny orange, to dull regular brown. I did not see/notice her until 2 weeks ago. Oh, and she went from an AD cup to a C cup. Yeah. I now see her 2-3 times a day on average.

But we've never talked. I know she's noticed me, because she's looked right at me and grins when I talk to my friends and she passes by me, but I just don't know what to say, and she's too shy/socially inept to say anything

    What should I do.

Find somebody you can talk to, if it keeps bothering you, talk to a psychologist. It could very well be Post-traumatic stress disorder.

She likes you, you seem to like her, talk to her.

    ACT NORMAL!

Treat her like ANY other person you know.

Walk up and say "Hey, hows it going" then continue a conversation with her.

Hey Shawn, nice idea. I've been having some trouble with a girl too. I KNOW she likes me, and this rumor spread around school that we kissed eachother. This is not true, although many people do believe it. I don't know what to do when I ask her to be my girlfriend now. What should I do? And she thinks that one of my friends started the rumor, therefor she ignores me. I do catch her looking at me during classes, locker times, lunch, etc. And like I said, we both like eachother and it makes me feel all weird when I try to talk to her.

Hey, I would also like to offer my support to those who need it, no matter what it is. You may address me personally through PM, and I will also be going through this thread regularly to see if I can hand out some advice.

This isn't really a personal issue, but its something thats been bugging me.

At my school, there are strict rules for clothing. Such as you must wear shirts with sleeves, you can't wear short skirts, or basically any exposure.

What bugs me, is that there is a homosexual crossdresser (male) who goes to my school. This kid wears tank tops, bras, skirts, and panties, he goes crazy with his hair, wears coloured eye contacts (also not aloud in school), uses the GIRLS washroom, and the list goes on. The school wont do anything about it, because whenever someone complains directly to the crossdresser, he tells his mom, and his mom bitches at the school, because its apparently a hate crime. This kid is basically taking advantage of his orientation to get his own way.

Is there anything I can do to stop this?

I believe that that is unconstitutional, and illegal. The fact of a dress code.

Yeah, same exact thing goes on in my school..

We have a dress code that says we can't have holes in our jeans because it's a "distraction." Then I look around and see this one new kid who painted little 'emo tear' things with a washable marker. This is a MUCH bigger distraction than holes in jeans.

Great idea Shawn. I am here for anyone if they need it also i will add my 2 cent to the things i read just before

i think you should just go up to her. i know that is the hardest part of it but when you do build up that courage she will notice it. just ask her simple questions nothing serious just get to know her.

i had a situation something like this not in the same terms. i use to be best friends with this kid and we were growing apart because i got a gf and i couldnt take his lying. we got into a fist fight but we still kinda were friends. but in this situation, you just need to let it go. its not worth the headaches if he were your true friend he would still make time to hang out with you, and he would also stick up for you because hes your best friend. but also he is covering his ass cause those kids are in his band and he doesnt want that to break up.

like is said to masterfaizy. but for you. i think you have to go at it a little differently. if you have a class with her you should like wait outside of the classroom for her and be like you know i didnt start the rumor and go from there.

to tell you the truth, you really cant do shit. it is a hate crime if you single him/her(lol) out. but the best thing to do maybe is start a form and have everyone you can sign it and give it to the principal and write a letter saying thats bullshit

You ought to highlight the double standard. If I were you, I'd write an anonymous letter of complaint doing just that, but some people prefer just to get their parents in.

I'd say it isnt worth the trouble.

The poor boy probably gets enough trouble for being different.

If the school is treating him too his advantage then they are mis-treating you and fellow students.
Write a letter complaining to the Head of Education department or whatever it may be called where your from signaling you believe by letting one person do what they want they are discriminating against you and your fellow students.

2am here sorry if its not properly worded.

I suggest you don't make this a 'them or me' situation. If he's going to ignore you because of them, then it's his loss, but don't try to make him "pick" his friends, that's his choice, not yours. Just try to make plans with him when they aren't around.

Okay, if she likes you, and you like her, you pretty much have your work cut out for you, you just need to take those two things, and add them together. Talk to her, be yourself, since that's clearly who she likes. Talk to her at 'lunch' or 'locker times', ask her what she's doing one weekend, make plans, ask her out after hanging out with her a couple of times.... Feeling 'weird' is part of being nervous, you'll get over it, but you need to face it first... Wow that sounded tacky.

If the school refuses to do anything, and parental involvement isn't working, then really there isn't anything you can do aside from complain to the school board.

Well I live in Alabama. With only that info i would bet you could guess it is about religion. A few days ago me and my friends were sitting at lunch just talking as we also do, all of these people are very intellectual, and the topic of religion came up.

We were talking about what we do/don't believe and when it came around to me I, not being afraid to say what I believe in, told them that I am an atheist.

The problem I have now, is that everyone knows I am an atheist, and has caused me to loose some many friends so fast.

So has their ignorance forced me to be an outsider, or can I force it through their thick skulls and insure them that atheist aren't bad people, and I have Never forced my views on them?

Not much you can do to change that, you just have to wait until they aren't being ignorant.

Lose friends? They never were your friends to begin with.
