Does this violate some kind of saftey law?

This bus at my school broke down and our district doesn't want to use another bus for some reason, so they piled 2 loads of kids in one bus. There are literally 3 kids to every seat and sometimes 4. These are high school kids too, so they are a little crowded for even 2 to a seat.

What I want to know is:
Is this against some kind of safety violation?
Is there someone I can report this to?

 

I'm sure there's a law. Find it or get a lawyer to. Then sue.

 

if the bus were to get into an accident and some one were to get hurt hell yes huge law suit cause there are way to many kids in that bus.

 

The maximum number of occupants is usually posted on the side of the bus. Look there. I think it is usually 64 people.

Wow, as bad as the economy is now, you just want to find any reason to sue or report. This is probably a one time thing, and you should get a new bus the next day. The buses capacity should hold 3 per seat.

When I wasn't driving and at high school, some times the bus drivers use one bus instead of two when one can't make it. It happened every other week but isn't a problem. The bus drivers prefer less passengers, but won't keep any students behind because they have ethics. If you really are concerned, don't take the school bus so there will be more room for everyone else. School buses are a privilege, you don't pay for it and should respect them.
