Reward CDT/TC members for there work

going to deny this based on the incorrect their use

 

No support I just don't like the idea of a ex cdt rank. People should be joining the CDT because they care and want to do something to help with sythe not for benefits like a rank or some sort of incentive.

No support, being in a community development team means that you're there for the community, not the funrank.
Having a funrank atm is a + to being in a team already, no need for further compensation.

Fun ranks have historically, and primarily been a reward for staff and retired staff members (in other rare instances, given out to regular members for very specific achievements/task completions).

There’s a vast difference between being a staff member and carrying out staff duties, to that of community members and their respective roles. As such, the few perks and rewards that come with being a staff member should remain as so. Not to mention it devalues the worth and sense of achievement of said fun ranks, and will inevitably result in losing its overall appeal.

The point of community teams is to act in the best interest of the community, and not for the inevitable fun rank. You already receive a fun rank for being part of said team, which is more than enough.

Allowing highly sought-after rewards to become easily obtainable (in this example fun-ranks) will quintessentially result in the fun-ranks holding the same level of status as that of a minirank (context dependant for sure, as some miniranks are rare, etc).

I know at the end of the day it’s just a ‘fun-rank’, a ‘shiny picture’, or whatever have you - but, due to the nature of this forum, and its demographic, and what it caters towards, a system of recognition, progression, and ultimately reward is needed (I,e regular user>community member>staff>staff rewards).

 

current members get a rank and a minirank already which should be enough

I wouldnt mind having an "ex cdt" minirank to pay homage though for their past commitment

 

See, I always knew you were doing it for the ranks and not for the community.

No support, I don’t feel like this is necessary because being in CDT should be something you do to help out the community and not obtain fun ranks.

Instead of making dumb suggestions, get back to “work”.
