The Meaning of Life

Shredder and Sythe are asking you guys why you believe that this is you meaning of life. They want you to tell them why you think that. I had a conversation at school on the meaning of life. I was talking to a group of Catholics, and they said that we were just a test species for God, so he can make the perfect humans. I, personally, do not believe this. I think that the meaning of life is to figure out the secret of the universe. If we can understand the universe, we would be able to do almost anything. Such as right now. In Europe, a man is using the Large Hadron Collider to figure out the Anti-Higgs particle, the negative gravity particle. We would be able to make so many things if we understand the antigravity particle. Frictionless cars, an actual perpetual motion machine, and it will most likely lower the percentage of plane crashes. The possibilities are endless. There is no absolute meaning of life, although life means to live, the meaning we are debating about is the REASON for life.

God is something which we mundane and mortal humans cannot percieve, but all we know is that he is our creator. No amount of logic can prove that there is no god.

 

That is incorrect. How do you know that he is your creator if mortal humans cannot perceive him? We all know that you are not immortal. Don't say something unless you completely understand what you are saying. That comment just made you a hypocrite, and how do you know logic cannot prove there is no God? Scientist created a test. They took a group of cancer patients and divided them into thirds. They said that one group of people will pray for them, another group won't pray for them, and another group might pray for them. After a year, some of them died, and none of them got better. That is valid logic.

 

I believe life has no real meaning

 

And why do you believe that?

 

The meaning of life is to live life.

 

If it is, then why are you living life? Think people! Think before you post!

 

For me, at this certain point in my life, my meaning in life is to be happy.

To remain happy I need pussy, money, weed + friends and family.

 

The human mind is a terribly stupid thing. Humans live to exist, we're still terribly stupid though.

This is the meaning of life, not the meaning of humans personally. I believe we all strive to do something noone has ever done before. And I do not mean a world record or something, I mean something as in...... stopping Global Warming, making humans live forever, creating a cure for cancer(which is pretty close now), making alcohol that CAN'T make you drunk, etc. I believe my personal meaning is to do whatever problem needs to be solved.

The meaning of life is to succeed and then make it to the afterlife.

 

That is, if you believe in an afterlife. What if there isn't one? I think Sythe is bending our beliefs. If we believe in God, the meaning of life for us would be to make it to Heaven. If we didn't believe in God, the meaning of life would be something different. There is no absolute answer.

 

If you believe in Heaven, that is your afterlife.

 

That is what I just said, in five less sentences.

 

If life had meaning other then to live why aren't we informed about it besides i don't believe in god so life doesn't really have a meaning.

 

If you don't have a God, life does have a meaning. Whatever you want it to be. Also, who would inform us on what the meaning of life was? What if the meaning of life was to find out the meaning of life? Paradoxes can ruin a whole conversation.

My meaning of life is to touch as many lives as possible, thus making myself happy, and my peers happy.

 

Paradoxes cannot exist in reality.
