I can't really see this as the Great Depression again... maybe this will somehow help the economy... I mean... right now the dollar isn't worth shit.. but once things are worth more.. You will get to where instead of *spending, spending, spending*... most people will be *saving, saving, saving*...

 

I know that the stocks weren't the only thing that cause the Depression, yet it was a major factor. And the stocks will probably continue to plunge for a day or two, then increase due to all the buying.

 

It doesn't matter if it is federally insured.
If the bailout doesn't go through, money will be worth close to nothing.

To me this is good news in a way. Housing prices go down - i can buy a good house for cheap. Then they'll go back up and i'll be better off.
