[APPROVED] Markets fixes / alterations to make market more realistic

Support for obvious reason, the vouch part is just dumb lol, don’t know why you would put more or less vouches then you’ve actually obtained?
For the trusted with $xxx , I think this should be allowed, only if the vouch is quoted & shown like a trophy? If that makes sense. For example in a thread the person puts
“Largest vouch over 10b 07
Quote—- vouch for the transaction where it states the value of the trade —- /Quote “
I think that’s fair & simple and smart marketing.

 

Support, I’ve seen many users taking advantage of this to build a fake trust, for the vouches if you have 10k among many sites, you should put on your thread all the links of those sites to prove trustworthy but still advertise only your sythe vouches.

And about the trusted with, traded over titles, they shouldnt be allowed, but as this is a free market meeh

 

Support this, I had some guy tell me he has traded 120b like it means something to how much I have.

To me it just seems like it’s a competition to make people sound bigger and better than they are, I have traded/trusted $1M+ but yet I don’t advertise that, I have been because it’s nothing but misleading to the people who trade me. I understand my vouches here are not on the high end like other forums, but when you look at my trades with people like @Spizz we have done a pretty amount of btc>PayPal trades all of which he went first, I sold @King Gold via crazy gold or whatever his name is paying me first (like 400m if not mistaken?) again doesn’t mean I’m going to add it over everything and be like “oh I’m mod vouched guys trust me!!!”

 

Support, also we need a bigger punishment for it because obviously only people with shady intentions abuse it and all they get is their topic edited/locked

 

I don't see this passing.
Just report people who false advertise and get their thread closed till they fix up their vouch count.

Saying you've traded X amount is fair enough, although it means little to nothing, as long as its not false advertisement, its okay imo.

 

You can easily get your friend to post a 50k$ vouch and there is no way u can prove it's fake, which is obviously what some people do

 

You can easily get your friends to post x amount of vouches too. So lets get rid of stating number of vouches too?

 

Well if most of your vouches are from few ppl it makes it quite obvious

 

And so does a $50k random vouch.

Vouches should be directly linked to sythe vouches only (where people can directly and easily see the count)

 

I am going to offer my support as well. I don't know if it will pass but I think that the idea in itself is good.

 

Support, @video has made posts before about people claiming they trusted a person with x amount of money when it wasn’t true, they have received bans for it. I would like to see that stop, Good suggestion.

 

Rather than saying people can't say they have X amount of vouches or whatever, I'd suggest or support strictly punishing people that lie about how many vouches they have (or at least the vouches they can prove they have/that they have here on Sythe - fuck places like Powerbot etc when it comes to vouches).

As for the issue of people claiming they've handled over $X amount....I always take that with a grain of salt - if someone's going to trade a user based on claims like that, they're not too bright anyway and no rules will fix that.

 

Your only good as the last thing you’ve done to most people. In the case on sythe it’d be trades. I don’t look at how many trades people have done I look at the most recent and how well they went

 

Smart, intelligent traders know to overlook the fake marketing bullshit people use. I mean I understand a newcomer with little knowledge could be swayed the wrong way.

Idc if you say you've "Handled $100,000 of transactions!" If you're a PoS or anything of the sort, you would never get my business.

as far as i know staff already go through the effort of locking peoples threads for using misleading titles, so this rule already exists no?

 

Unless the thread is reported by the owner, no they do not lock/change them. I have reported many before that are already dealt with and was told that they would need to report themselves.
