hella scared right now, help

Well, I feel like I murdered someone.. There was a cat in my backyard hanging on the tip of the fence, so I shot it with my air rifle. I intended that it would get hurt and run away, but it fell towards my side of the yard. It was weeping then I realize blood started to come out slowly, then it stopped moving and kept blinking. I don't know what to do, if I should bring it to the neighbors, hide it in my yard forever, or put it in a bag and toss to the other yard. I don't know if they investigate this, cause I don't want my fingerprints on a bag. It's still alive, making some noise and blinking, but the legs no longer shake. I need to get this out of my yard by morning before everyone finds out. I would take this to a vet but I don't know of any that's opened atm and I just want this all to go away. I'm asking you for suggestions on what I should do, I really don't want to get arrested or charged for this.

But look up a vet in the phone book.
Take the cat in.
Tell the owners and say you will cover the vet bill and be extremely sorry.
If you just put a dieing cat in a bag to suffocate it and pretend it never happened it will haunt you forever & karma's a bitch.
Also next time don't be so phyco about your pretty fence and if you need to just shoot close to it so it gets scared and runs...

 

Get it to the vet, or be a man and give it to your neighbor. Throwing it over the fence is just cruel.

 

I don't care about my fence, I wanted to see what it would look if I shot a can with a bbgun. I didn't fucking expect to see it go through, didn't expect it to bleed..

I don't know if any vets are opened, its 3 in the morning, and should I leave it at my neighbors doorstep? I'm afraid if they find out it's been shot, they're gonna start looking to find who did it, and I'm not going to jail.

I'm thinking of running away if they do find out.. I can bring it to a hospital at this time, but I can't think of a reason why I would be up this late trying to save a random cat. I don't want them to think I was the one who shot it


Update; i dont know if it's still alive, but when i shine a light at the hole, theres alot of green goo aside from the blood, and when i poke it with my flashlight, the eyes move, but doesn't blink. I dont know if thats from the pressure of the light, or if it felt it.

 

You are the one who shot it. If you seriously wanted to see what it would look like if you shot a cat your one sick puppy.
Look in the phone book for a 24/7 vet.
Also if the owners are half decent they won't press charges. Right now all you should be doing is trying to save the cats life. If you go get the cat and tell me the symptoms I can try to help but you should seriously be getting a vet. Also bandage up where you shot it. Just say you found the cat like that. They won't question you if you just saved there cats life.

I remember when I was 11 I think and my father gave me my first air-soft rifle. I was just playing around practicing my aim and ended up shooting a bird. I felt so bad.

Anyways, I recommend that you just...throw it over a fence. Not much you can do at 3 unless there's a vet nearby and you can drive there.

 

Buy a small dog, spray paint it the same basic colors, but add some fun colors like blue or something, throw it over the fence as a replacement.

Guaranteed to work.

And give the cat as food to the homeless.

 

ok well when i first shot it it fell off the fence and to my yard and skipped a few steps before laying flat on it's side. the legs were shaking but not anymore, then i noticed little blood drips on the path from the fence to like 3 feet where it stopped. there started to be alot of blood on the floor but now theres so much i think it stopped, theres kind of a dark green goo, with some orangeyellow on the surface of it coming out of the first hole, and the other hole is leaking alot of blood. when i poke at it, its eyes dont seem to be able to close, but gets smaller

 

im not playing around.. it would be easier for me to put the cat in a bag and dump in the public bin, but im too scared to clean it up as well as picking it up.

 

Okay take it to a vet and patch up the wounds with a old shirt, tie it around the cat. Make as little sound as possible to not wake anyone/to calm the cat and take him to a hospital or a vet. Check if hes moving at all because he might be dead. Apply pressure to the wound. What fps was the rifle?

The fact that you shot the cat was bad enough, but to leave it sitting their with whole in it.. and its most probably in alot of pain and suffering makes it alot worse. Take it to your neighbor's tell them what happened, and maybe they can help. The truth is bound to get out some time, Own up to your mistake.

 

Yeah it's not making noise like it did before, I think it died.. The rifle is a 760 pumpmaster, it's advertised as up to 600FPS, but I think it's more. I've used it to pierce through a WD40 can, which is usually very thick. It was four pumps charged when I shot the cat. I think i found a solution, i think im gonna mail my neighbors about the cat and said someone shot this and it landed in my yard. that way they will think im telling the truth, and trying to find the owner.

 

Have you ever seen the cat before? Houses are close together in SF so you could go to there door and say you reconised it as theirs. Seriously sending a mail would just be dumb because they would realize no one else got it...

 

Also go over there and stab the cat in the heart. If you won't do anything to help it at least that way it wont suffer.

k i think im gonna clean up the mess and throw the cat away. Hope owners will just believe its missing. im not sure where the heart is but i used my knife and cut around its neck through the bag though, fucking nasty as hell.

Damn dude, must've been either a little kitten or a real high powered air gun cause it took around 25 semi-automatic shots to kill a raccoon that was in my cats territory lol. And thats only cause I hit it in the eye.

But I'd probably just bury it. So one, no one will ever really find out. And two, if the cops somehow find out, at least it looks like you cared for the cat and gave it a proper burial so its not just shoot the cat and leave.

The bullet shot through the cat, theres two spots with tons of shit that oozed out. My yard is all concrete so I wouldn't be able to bury it. If any of my neighbors look out the window in the morning, they would see a shitload of blood. I'm trying to cover this up and do everything in complete darkness.
