Do you Fear Death?

I do not fear the after life, I am just going to lie in the ground and have maggots rape my skull.

The only way I fear dying would be by drowning, I'm sure there is worse although this way scares me most. Struggling to keep yourself up, Swimming until all your muscles are in agony and you still can't see any land around for miles. Wow, no thanks

No, not really. While I'm sure there are a lot of things you would be rather doing three seconds before your death, nobody lives forever. Get over it, people who voted yes.

 

I'm not afraid at all. It's pain get over it in your coffin. I'd be afraid seeing someone die, my afterlife if there is such thing. Death is described as a painful, evil thing. I describe it as a new life. There's nothing you can do it. It's your fate, nothing you can do about it.

 

I don't fear death itself, as long as I don't die very painfully. Some say that if you die painfully, that pain will stay with your body, and I don't want that to happen.

 

Yes, because I'm unsure of the after-life, and more importantly because I'm 15 and I cry when I lose a pound ;(

My biggest problem is I just can't wrap my mind around an afterlife. Mostly because I'm human, and our brains aren't made to work that way, Lol.

It's like this: we live,and know nothing about the "after-life". No one has been there and come back to tell us a story. Our only hope is that there will be "life" after we die. Life meaning, the ability to communicate, and not just lie there helplessly forever, and ever.


What does our brain do when we die? Just shut off? Then what happens to us, our souls, does it rise to heaven or sit there for eternity?

But tying this together, I'm religious. I cling to my religion, and I pray every day. This gives me hope that my spirit will rise and go up to heaven, with which I can communication, and "live" an "after-life"

When we die, our brain is like a computer shutting off, that will never turn on again. When we die, everything in our body dies, or shuts off. Our soul doesn't exist. There is nothing in the universe considered a "soul". We just turn off, and die. Nothing happens from then on. If we die, and we've been dead for say... 20 years, without decomposing(somehow), and we get shot and stabbed, we won't feel it. Such as, if a computer is on, and you break the motherboard, it will affect the computer. If it's off, and you break the motherboard, nothing will happen besides the motherboard breaking. When you turn it on(this part doesn;t happen to our bodies), you will either not be able to boot, or get a BSOD :0. I'm just saying, nothing happens at all, besides not living.

I really don't understand why people will still fear death.

Billions of people, if not trillions, have experienced death in some other way.
Yes we don't know whats going to happen, but the thing is, everything has to come to an end.

how much you would suffer before you actually die.?
all this questions will lead to opinions of different kinds of people
some people aren't scared of death but , when you face it
all the questions your willing to ask will be answered like if God was real.
you should be afraid of death , cause if you live after you suffered.. when you committed suicide maybe you will suffer until you DIE once again and will suffer the same kind of pain you did the 1st time...

no i don't fear death because in this world everyone will die at some point no matter who you are you will alway's die at some point. >.> and yet,i still wonder what will actually happen when you die because no one really know's and the people who die can't tell you what happen's because they ARE dead.
