So... I bought a new PC today

So, I decided I needed to upgrade. I bought an IbuyPower gaming desktop today.
Computer Specs:
- Intel Core i7-8700 6-core 3.2GHz (4.6 GHz Turbo)
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 8GB
- 16GB DDR4-2666Mhz Memory
- 1TB SATA Solid State Drive
- High Performance Air Cooling
- Integrated Wifi

Spent about $1,350 on it today, was it worth it? Don't really know much about computer hardware. Reason why I built a pre-built is because I don't exactly know how to build my own computer

 

Power Supply Wattage? Do you intend to OC?

Building your own PC with refurbished components is way cheaper. If you aren't tight on money I'd say it's a decent deal. But you could get the same specs like 35% cheaper

I think it's a fairly decent computer. Plays Fortnite 160FPS, Apex like 130 FPS...

 

I'm jealous.

Nice PC man, not too good with hardware either but I spend about $1000 on my gaming laptop and your PC looks twice as good. Enjoy.

 

It's a solid setup with i7 and Rtx 2070s.

 

Not worth it my dude. You could have saved over $300 if you chose to build it yourself. You also should have gone for Ryzen now that they're making Intel kinda obsolete.

 

Dont know how to build a pc. Let alone do i got the time on watching videos to do it

 

I watched videos to learn how. It only took me about 2 hours to figure it all out. Like I just had a how to video on while I was doing it and watched a part then did, watched the next and then copied that as well. It was super easy actually.

Edit: Also, unless you think your time is worth more than $150/hour then it would 100% be worth it to do it yourself.

 

Could of saved on the processor its an overkill also if your going to spend that much money on a SATA SSD might as well go NVMe SSD. Aside from saving a few hundred bucks FUCKING awesome build man jesus its great.
