Why do you like violence in video games?

Why do you like violence in video games and what does it do for you?

 

Because it allows you to do something you can't do in real life =).

 

Because it funs and u get rush outa rapin' noobs

 

Because i like the sound of breaking bones, and screaming anythin you fight in a game.

 

because violence makes a game twice as good.! take a racing for instance, you can just keep racing and racing but evantaually you will get bored. Take cod4 you keep upgrading, getting better customs finding new ways to own noobs.

 

Because I pretend all the people I am killing are mini-orlando_jordans!

 

I like violence in video games because its something that isn't in our everyday life, making it fun.

Stress releasing. Can't really go around my town shooting the people I don't like so there are video games.

 

I like it because you know you can't get into trouble for it

 

Because hurting other people is fun.

Raping can't be done in real life without consequences.

 

I don't care if a game is violent or not, it could be the kiddiest game around, but if its fun, i'll play it.

 

It makes it realistic and believable.

I hate these new games where you shoot someone and you cant even tell if you hit them or not. Or games where your carving the fuck out of something with a sword and theres nothing but sound effects? I mean come on whats the piont? You end up just feeling like, i have to press this button 5 times and then itl fall over. Instead of actually feeling your doing some real damage.

I revuse to play the new soldier of fortunre because of the lack of graphics. They hardly even flinch when i shoot them let alone bleed. shoot them in the face and it does nothing, shoot there dead bodies and your bullets go straight through. I mean programmers go through so much effort to make games look real, yet they leave out the most important and realistic damanding part of a game.

 

Realistically... You won't go around doing any of this so it doesn't make it realistic or believable.

 

the ability to do the immoral without the worry of breaking said morals and without consequence is what will do it for most people.

 

You can do what you can't do in real life, without suffering consequences. Makes it fun. It also depends on who you ask, some people don't like violent games.

 

I like violence, personally, because it makes the game more interesting and fun. It entertains me to see somewhat beaten senselessly until blood pours from them, or someone shot to death in an office cubicle with an Ak-47. It makes the game more intense, and is just really cool. I think this is one of the better polls in the General Discussion forum, I'm sure it will be very popular.
