Something that has perplexed me since I've started...

I've been playing RuneScape since back in December, 2005. Since that very time I've always wondered a couple things having to do with trees and range.

1) Since you can cut yew trees, why are there no free player yew bows?

2) If you can't use yew, but you can use maple bows. Why are there no maple trees in free worlds?

3) Also, if I can recall correctly, a year ago they made the update making maple trees member only trees to cut. What were they thinking beforehand, opening them up to free players but not giving them any to cut?

Jagex(me too) doesn't care about f2p. Yew in F2P are for source of money and maple logs in F2P would do FM too easy and maples would be too cheap. About bows, yew bows in f2p - something has gone very wrong in this world.

Yews are for money and fm only in f2p... Yet in p2p you can make them and use bows... Then why shouldnt you have a lvl 40 bow to match lvl 40 dhide in f2p

 

That's weird lol. I never really noticed this until I read this.

 

They are members only nowadays but back then they were able to be cut by f2p (and none were in the f2p world area)

in early early early runescape yew bows were ftp.. until like 2003

 

Good ole' days = Jagex were dumbasses and it was awesome!

Lawl. Yea if there ever were any (which i dont think there were cuz i would have found them) then they've been removed by now. Maples are member's only ever since the d wc axe got moved from 41 to 61 wc.

Its just a way to get you to get members. Offering you one thing without getting to experience the other part without subscribing.

Oh and also to give f2p a decent way to get cash.
