i would suggest to avoid all of these, if they can't operate profitably without their customers getting scammed, their business is pure garbage and should be closed down

Whilst we could discuss these businesses models further, the main point I'm trying to make is, it's hypocritical to allow one and not the other, in the case of Acckings and Accountwarehouse. I personally wouldn't even use either.

There are a lot of misconceptions floating around so let me set the record straight. Acckings does not even belong in the same conversation as us. While our business models may look similar on the surface, they are completely different. Acckings while not necessarily a scam, their terms of service are predatory and misleading. The big difference between us comes down to how we handle account recoveries. For example, both of us require the customer to provide proof of an account recovery. The loophole that Acckings exploits here is that there are no emails or documented proof when an account is recovered. The account simply disappears from your email and is returned to the original owner's email. Since there is no way to document this, Acckings does not invoke their warranty, thus you are screwed.

At Accountwarehouse we handle things very differently. We put every account that we sell on an email that is created by us and give that email to the customer. In order to keep our warranty, we require you to keep the account on that email. While we understand that in terms of account security it's not the safest sharing email access with another company, it does allow us to actually warranty an account. We use an email provider that logs every email sent, received, and deleted along with which IPs log in or perform an action. So, if you follow our instructions and keep the account on the email, and your account is recovered, we can accurately assess the situation. We log into the email to see if the email was manually changed through Runescape's website, as this sends a confirmation email. If no such email exists, and no emails from Jagex were deleted, this is a clear recovery which we warranty.

When a warranty claim gets denied it's for a reason. If you change the email, we cannot warranty the account as we cannot see what action has taken place on the account. When you delete emails prior to contacting us, we cannot honor the warranty. We have logs of every email deleted along with the IP address that did it. Here's an example screenshot from a customer who claimed their account was recovered but minutes before contacting us deleted a handful of emails from Jagex. For obvious reasons we have censored their IP address.

    Imgur

Now, if you have kept the account on the email and did not delete any emails, your warranty will be invoked and you will be given store credit or a refund if you purchased Account Shield. We have not had a single instance that a warranty was denied to a customer who followed the terms found at Buy Game Accounts, Sell Game Accounts | Account Warehouse. If you want to bring up the disputes filed against us here on Sythe, you will see that in every case we have evidence that the customer either changed the email, deleted emails, or disputed the payment prior to ever contacting us. We handle our business completely different than how Acckings does.

As far as the quotes go, there was mention in this thread that you were offered $10 for a zul'rah ready account. We offer a fair market price on all accounts that we can sell for over $100. If an account will sell less than $100 we require higher margins. A $50 account takes just as long for our employees to process as a $500 account. We don't run a Chinese sweatshop and pay our employees well above minimal wage here in the US. It is not worth the employee time/pay, payment processing fees, chargeback/fraud risks and the fees associated with it for a $20 profit. That's just business.

Lastly, due to the liability of actually standing behind our warranty, we have a very thorough screening process for selling to us. We scan the internet, forums, social media, and several databases to see if a seller has committed fraud in the past. We require all sellers to do a recovery through the Jagex system onto the email we provide and record the entire process in a gif submitted to us. This guarantees that the person selling to us is the original owner and that we have accurate recovery information on file. About 60% of Runescape sellers that attempt to sell to us do not make it through our screening.

With all that said, if you have a legitimate concern or think you have been scammed by us, fill out a proper dispute with proof. Sythe does not give us any special privileges Simply stating that we are the same kind of business as Playerauctions or Acckings is the farthest thing from the truth. Their terms of service are specifically designed to separate you from your money while not taking on any liability if you encounter a problem. We actually stand behind our warranty, Account Shield policy, and our terms of service. Anyone who says you can get safer and better service by using a reputable member on Sythe is obviously ignoring the hundreds of scam quits and bans that have been handed out to so-called "reputable" members and businesses.

Even so, that still means PA and Acckings would be constrained to the same processes according to that logic, as neither actually own the emails of accounts unlike your business. Are you really saying PA, in all its years of business, has absolutely no way of confirming whether a customer changed their email or if the account was recovered by the original owner?

Have you ever filed a dispute through Playerauctions over an account? It is a sham. Their currency service is legitimate as it is easy to confirm delivery of funds between the buyer and seller. If you try to dispute an account recovery you will spend endless weeks waiting on their "dispute team". They are going to ask for the same information that Acckings will ask for. Please show us proof of the recovery sir. As mentioned in the previous post, when an account is recovered there are no emails sent etc. You will have no tangible proof. In the end they will side with the seller since you will not be able to provide any evidence. Furthermore, the seller has already been paid via irreversible payment methods (Paypal Mass Pay) so they have no leverage.

Any business that takes on full liability in account sales for 5-10% margins (their fees) is a scam. The business model is not sustainable without scamming either the buyer or the seller. The only chance you have at winning one of their disputes is if the recovery happens during the 7 day window before the seller gets paid.

Yes, new websites pop up every week. Having a website does not make you trusted.

I agree that you handle these situations the best out of these 3 resellers, but money paid for the account is often not the biggest loss when u get recovered and there is nothing u can do about it

At this point are you really adding to the discussion? you just seem to have a personal vendetta against these account selling companies. Yes, AccKings has a scamming ToS, if Accountwarehouse was a scam site don't you think it would have been taken care of already? Either way you're straying off topic and should probably keep your emotions out of the equation when commenting on a discussion.

Yes, there needs to be a sticky concerning scam websites, but for anyone to read any stickies each mod needs to be assigned to comb through their respective section's stickies to revise/shorten/combine/remove outdated rules.

This is the only way people will even look at stickies in the first place

I don't have anything personal against any of them. And i never said awh is scamming, so i can see text comprehension is not your strongest side. All i'm saying there is no way to safely resell accounts, and there is nothing u can do about it.

The point you're making here literally applies to account sales as a whole, not even those websites. You might as well step out and post a suggestion banning account sales altogether. Lost bank is always a risk you KNOWINGLY take when buying a used account, through a website or not.

Back to the suggestion by OP: definitely support this, browse through the RASC and you'll see loads of new members and even some old ones who constantly get scammed by scam websites/discord servers run by already banned members. More deterrence is always good

It should definitely be extended from website to Discords. For websites, people are gonna use Sythe if they're a member here, not Google which is where a scam website would gain its traffic. Discords on the other hand, is an unregulated space where people go all-out with fake trades (bots/alt accounts), the only issue is these Discords frequently change their names (or may even impersonate legitimate Discords), it's hard to track them at all if they see they've been added to the list and rebrand.

Great idea. Would a mod have to be the one to make the list? As far as I thought users would add names to the list and comment under the thread with a scam report. In that case we would be able to start one now right ?

Mods would be the one who verifies which website is a legit scam site. Or you'd see loads of trolls posting websites of people they dont like with barely any proof.

Making a thread like this is fine and you're free to manage it, I believe this can go in Market Discussion. However, much like the other 'avoid these' lists, the sites posted will need to be supported by a valid report on Sythe.

You can use the account rental blacklist as a template: Blacklisted Rental Accounts - DO NOT RENT THESE ACCOUNTS!
