I put well over 3 months into User Education as both a member and a HUE. When Unknown got deadmined, the section was removed because none of the other admins want it.

I know for a fact Matthew doesn't like the section, Ryan, I'm sure doesn't care for it, Shredder probably thinks it's a place of stupid people, and SMR is always neutral, but would go with the unanimous vote. He won't fight for something that has no purpose.

SO if Pen leaves, the User Education section will be removed.

No one should put that much time into something only to have it taken away. It's a HORRIBLE thing. I asked TDD how he would feel if they removed the Graphics section, and he said that he'd be pissed, and then leave.

Which is what I did when they removed User Education.

I came back when User Education was brought back with the intention of trying again, and then I saw the same things happening that happened last time, and refused to get sucked into it. Felt that the section should be removed, and so I believe it should be removed, or it shouldn't have anyone in charge of it except mods and admins. Putting Pen in charge is pointless, it needs to be just a regular section for people to ask for help, or post tutorials on whatever they want to.

It should be called Help and Guides and that's it. Not "User Education" not "Educating Users" and nothing that makes another user able to critique someone else's knowledge because none of them are smart enough to do it.

 

Now that I have the complete picture:

Pen is not going to leave. Nobody in the right mind would leave when he's one of the most high-ranking mods of this site.

I agree with your way of thought about being called Help and Guides. We could also put Tech support inside it too. No one would be able to post in there unless there is mod approval, similar to SFA. This would filter out the useless posts that go in there.

I don't understand Deacon. Without ranks and Head User Educators, there is no worries if it gets removed. There is no responsibility, no hard work, just people who (if they want) make guides to help people.

If you guys took a minute to look at the situation. UE has changed, there's no voting process. It's an invite only group. All invites are then viewed by me and Pen and a decision is made. It seems that a few people in a team have given all you spammers the impression that the UE rank stands for retard. And in many ways it does because you must be retarded to put up with all your shit. Anyone joining the UE team has bigger balls than all you who choose to sit here and criticize. And what do you criticize for? I'll tell you why, because Deacon does, shakaka or whatever does jesse does. How sad are you?
I'm sure there are people who join the UE team for the rank, and the UE rank will always bring trust. It shouldn't but it always will, that's why me and Pen are being extra precautions. All this shit you give is annoying, but at the end of the day isn't going to change a thing. Because unfortunately sythe doesn't have a built in filter whereby the more you say something, the more likely of it happening. Or it would be alot like this:

Lol, you weren't even kicked out when you were HUE, so I don't know how you got "screwed over". When Unknown was HUE, you were a control freak. You made 20 different ranks, for User Education. You made a new rule everyday.

It's obvious you're angry if you feel the need to make a thread repeating the same thing you said in your first thread. Bottomline, User Education won't be removed. Like I have said before, it's an important section for people who aren't interested in trading or programming.

No, see, I actually made progression in User Education. And believe it or not, it was more respected then than it is now. Unknown left, yes I went on a control phase and took it over, but I did good for UE. I didn't make a bunch of ranks, in fact, I don't ever remember asking for a new rank after Phase 2 (Unknown TOLD me to ask for that one). When Unknown came back from vacation, everyone bitched because I tried to get HUE's more respect and power (as they deserved it because of everything they did). So Unknown dehued me. And then he quit, and User Education was removed.

I got SCREWED over because I put a shit ton of fucking work into that section. Pen, it'd be like you guys removing the graphics section right now. It would piss Vision, TDD, and Bbri off enough that I'm sure they'd all leave. Which is what I did. You guys removed all of my work, so I said fuck that and left.

I didn't just do control shit, I had meaningful work put into that. Full lists of guides with a full count, guidelines for guides, ue rules and such. (And another thing, the UE rules were made BEFORE I was a HUE, smart one. We ALL voted on adding the rules -.-. It wasn't JUST me controlling shit... damnit).

Neither did I. I never said you don't care about User Ed. I said you don't care about the people in User Ed. Prove me wrong Pen, show me one time where you actually attempted to help those people? The Dark was complaining to me that YOU never talked to him, so he had to run the section by himself. Seriously, that doesn't show any caring.

I don't think Unknown had the intention of leaving either. Circumstances change Pen, situations arise in which you can't control. At which point, you would have no choice, BUT to leave. In such circumstance, User Education would be removed, and whoever at that time had spent several months trying to fix User Education will be fucked out of a shit ton of work.

Do you know how many times I tried to stop its removal? I told Matthew and Clash that I'd never ask them for another thing in the history of my time on Sythe if they just kept the section. I didn't wanna lose everything, so before they removed it I copied it all down, and said "Fuck this". I don't think you get why it pisses me off.

Let's say Sythe just decides to take your rank away and ban you Pen, imagine all those years of work you wasted just to be scrutinized.

What? User Education should MAINLY be about computers! Not about a bunch of shitty guides about life, and skateboarding, and girls, and weight lifting. How many people complained about my MySpace guide because it wasn't good enough, EVEN THOUGH it was about computers.

People look for programming education, graphics education, computer education, etc.... Not a shitty guide about your attempt at 60 minute abs.
