Mom is trying to force me to go to church

I'm getting fed up, I wish I could record the shit she is saying and post it here -.-.

She's forcing me to go to church indirectly, I'm sure your parents have done something like this. She says "Fine don't go tomorrow, things will change around MY house".

Ive come to the realization that you can't argue with a fanatical believer =\.

"its the devil thats telling you not to believe in god blah blah" Why couldn't it be me saying I don't believe in god?!

I can't stand those threads. Don't even bother posting on them lol, you can't win with a believer. "God" is always they're answer.

Tell her that you respect her beliefs, and you will let her do what she wants, but she cannot force god to come to you, or you to come to god. Give her a big talk on how people come to god on their own etc.

Mmm. . .I taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade religion (one year per grade) I know and understand the bible. I went to church every sunday at 9am was forced to go even when I was sick (god would cure me my mom said).

In my church and probably a lot of other peoples, Ive come to the realization that a good 75% of people that go are hypocrites. They blindly follow what the priest tells them in the homilies. And they all chant the apostle creed from memorization, they don't know what they are saying.

Have you ever stopped and listened to the apostle creed? Not the meaning just the people saying it. The WHOLE church in the same mono-tone voice saying "I believe in one god, the father all mighty maker of heaven and earth" Brain washing. I still remember it and I haven't gone for like 7 months.

 

Just go. Your atheist life is meaningless anyway.
