If you wanted to pick something out of this guys post to proove he isn't a real firecaper then you picked the wrong thing.

Well ,here's a tip. When you kill Jad, take a screenshot with your name, date, and person you're doing it for in chatbox. Anyone can vouch someone saying they got a cape. Also, posting gear would help. Plus, no need for melee requirements unless you plan on using guthans which doesn't even really help, or if you want to melee jad, which is pointless because it just takes up more inventory space and is "harder".
