there is no best way..
mage longs are better, but cost more and take longer as you have to buy in more intervals.

if your rich - mage longs,
if your not - yew longs.

I like to alch mage longs.

 

Black dhide bodys you make cash while you alch them.

 

I've been told rune med helms are decent, but it can be hard to obtain mass amounts. I personally stick with either yew longs or mage longs.

 

Magic longs are the best that i know of

 

put offers in ge at night for green,blue,black (not red!) d'hide body's and rune meds. they alch with low lose

 

Well not really true, you lose alot less money alching mage longs.

Also, i know that you almost break even with rune daggers.

i did yew longs.

 

yew longs whilst searching the barrel on the ship in the lunar quest and then sell the tar from the barrel at ge, u make a profit

Addy plates were ok, lose 5gp per alch. I don't know now though.
