Is CS really that cool?

I've seen a few video's about CS:S, and I haven't yet decided if I want to play that or not, because it costs me money and I dun wanna pay for a game that im gonna quit next week, soo is CS overrated or really that cool, and explain why please. KTHXBAI

 

Counter strike is alright but get's boring quick.Get garry's mod you'll play it constant for alongtime.

CSS is a good game cs 1.5 is alot better, play 1.5 before you start playing source. 1.5 nvolves a shot load more skill than source, btw use steam.

 

ye ofc it is it's the most played game in the world, also if you become top level you get payed to play so whats cooler than that seriously.

well i bought a steam account here and i had never played cs before but the account had css and ive played it like 4 times a week since..

 

yes, i love Css due to the atmosphere when online and generally owning narbs

 

Right, yes its the best first person shooter ever, get CS:S, its so fucking addictive and amazing,

And also, you can get a free trial of css so your question will be answered when you play it.

 

CS:S is great if your looking for a game with ok graphics.
But CS is for the people who just like playing the game and becoming good.


CAL-I CSS = CAL O/IM 1.6

 

Ever heard of 1.6? Anyways IMO CS is quite interesting, there are strategies to learn, aim correctly etc. I just got back to it after 3 years of playing. Had a break for like half a year

 

I have both CS:S and CS1.6, the cost difference is around £5, and i like having both, but if i had to pick one it would be CS:S by far, the whole community is alot better there imo, along with the graphics / gameplay.

 

I have both, I prefer 1.6.
1.6 involves more skill etc. afaik, but both have their advantages and disadvantages.

 

If you play leagues n wars n have a team with a decent skill it's good, css i'm talking about.

i have played cs since 1.5. i still play 1.6 now but i will not play source i dont think it is good and its for noobs. but idk. 1.6 is a great game i have been playing on and off for 7 years. started when i was in 7th grade. so im still very into cs

 

Try playing Nosteam 1.6 first until you get used to the commands and shit.

1.6 is better in my mind, but my opinion is biased since that's the version I grew up with. I remember having to update to 1.6, Wanted!, WON, the IRC, Toxica. All that good stuff
I find CS:S to be way different in game play. I can kick ass on 1.6, but I get my ass handed to me on CS:S. If you can, try both of them and see which one you like. YMMV

well i think anyone that starts with 1.6 prefers it, and the same with CS:S.. i'd go for the newer version though if i were you.
