Favorite years would have to be 2009-2012

Young me definitely 2009 when everything was still fresh for me. 2012 was also great up until eoc...

 

Summer of 2005, i remember picking flax to my first whip lol

 

Killing green dragons for money! Like year 2008!

There was a year (2012?) where Jagex went lenient on people who botted, and rather than a permanent ban you could have gotten a stat rollback. I ended up having my 70 combat zerker become an 11 defence account but retain the quest rewards. Was interesting to learn that barrow gloves were usable at 11 defence.

Or it would be around 2007; when I just got membership and started exploring.

 

2012 - i was rwting here, i was young, and the pking era/meta was nice. you could bot without bans so i had a lot of different pk builds.

When everyone used to pk at green dragons west wildy near the castle with magic shortbows and dragon daggers/maces, the double spec on the magic short back then owned man made ranging fun, speccing like 21/23 with a magic shortbow back then was awesome

 

I actually enjoyed the beginning of 2018 when revs were just released with vorkath while goldrates were still decent

 

when dicing was released because i finally had a green stack

 

the 1/2 years before eoc

 

2004-2007 Great years when everyone from my class played and we'd all go home meet up on RS and quest/pk/talk shit those were the day's man still have everybody on my Friend list just always 'offline' RIP.

 

my first year was the best. but 2011 was also a fun one

 

I actually loved the time around when Dung came out. It was so easy to cheat and I had a bunch of different accounts running

 

Legit runescape will never reach that type of era again... Those were one of the best days of runescape and then it went downhill. I mean 07 is good and all but the fact back then we had so much such as soul split various quests and bosses which made the game so much more fun.

 

That’s tough. My fondest memories are from 03-04ish. I was really young and the game was pure fun back then.

Best time for RS was ‘12ish though. As others have said.. ovls, turm, chaotics, etc. good times then.

 

I played in 09-10 and it was fun but my higlighted years are may 2011 - nov 2012 the day before eoc hit. i really understood the game and was close to maxing combat, had plenty of friends and would pk / petty lure and skill every day.

I would personally put $5,000 of my savings towards paying jagex to release a 2011-2012 version of the game and run it from there.

They would never do it as old school would have a hurt player base from it
