    Best Torrent Client?

I've previously used uTorrent, and i loved it. But for some reason it has broken on me and i can't seem to fix it. (has a very very slow download speed now).

So then i went to Vuze (Azureus), but i can't alter the upload speed like i could on uTorrent, i used to have a 6kb upload speed on uTorrent and still be able to download around the 180kb mark. But when i do this on Vuze my download speed drops to around 10kb. And i can't keep my upload speed open too much because i have a usage limit and i've pass it too quickly.

So my question is, does anyone know of any better Torrent Programs out there?

I've always just used uTorrent. I thought it just depended on the torrent file you downloaded not the actual program that affected your speed with uTorrent? =\

I hope you realize that the speed that the speed of bittorrent depends on how much the seeders are uploading to you, at that generally depends on your download:upload ratio. If you upload more, the ratio will be higher, therefore you are more likely to be seeded, which in turn gives you more speed for your download.

If uTorrent is downloading slow, it's probably because you don't have any or very many seeders and peers connected.

I've only really used a couple. BitLord failed, but BitComet was alright. I use uTorrent on any Windows machine, and for Linux I'll use kTorrent or whatever comes with the dist. really.

Yeah i realise you need more seeders to download faster, thats why i don't understand how your uTorrent goes slow, since doesn't it depend on the seeders?

Swan, you're talking to a fellow computer geek, nerd etc.
I know how it all works etc, the current torrent i was download was IronMan had around 11000 seeds and 8000 peers. I was connected to a fair amount of them, but still a shit download speed, it only seem to happen after it asked me for an update.
I also experience extremely slow browser speed when i open uTorrent, would take approximately 8 minutes for Google to load while uTorrent is open, even if i'm not downloading/uploading a torrent.
I've made sure my ports a forwarded, firewall exceptioned etc, i've even hit up there forums for help but it's to no avail, hence why i'm looking for another client.
I think i may have fucked with a setting on my on computer somewhere but i don't remember doing anything drastic enough to affect anything like this.

Have you checked your speed preferences?

Try BitComet then, it's not terribly bad, but not the best.

After experiencing slow downloads in a couple of the more popular torrent programs, I've been quite impressed with Opera's built-in torrent downloader based on BitTorrent.

Just go with the original. Bittorrent. Sure, you can't see the details that well, but it's fast, and that's where it counts.

If you can't end up getting it to work, just use warez for the time being at ForumW or Warez-BB or even Warezscene.

    BitTornado.

And you may be dealing with a shitty ISP Cov. A lot of em are limiting the amount you can up and down in a month or so. You're prolly just getting crap because of the fact that you've reached your limit, or your isp is spacing it out.

    Best Torrent Client?

I had the similar dilemma on my Mac when I used uTorrent.
All my downloads slowed down. I then tried Vuze, I absolutely hated the layout and never experienced high download speeds.
I then tried Transmission. Although I liked the simplistic GUI, but still slow download speeds.
I found myself re-installing uTorrent and my speeds are back to normal.
Finding good torrent clients is extremely hard.

uTorrent because you can tweak it to get 15x faster download speed.
PM me and I'll link you to the tutorial.
