Student Loan Forgiveness

Does anyone have any experience and/or advice in needing Student Loans when owing a small amount of student loans? I haven't attended school in 2 years after doing online classes and owe a couple grand in student loans. I "had to" leave mid-semester for a personal loss and couldn't mentally focus which I explained to my professors. I really want to go back to doing courses, but I'm afraid I'll need to pay back what I owe in it's entirety before starting again which I don't currently have the means to do so. Any and all advice is appreciated.

you can get back to classes at the end more debts will come behind. there more you use financial aid the more debts you get. I recommend you getting a job so you start saving

 

Getting a job is the obvious solution, but I'm on disability and working with a rehabilitation program to help me get back to school/work. Ideally school would be first, hence the issue at hand. However thanks.

 

If you're in the UK it's not the end of the world if you don't pay it back. It doesn't affect your credit score iirc.

 

if you in rehabilitation program when you go to school you can file a report so classes don't stress you to the max. you are able to even get even more help in college.

 

I'll mention that to the College I'm applying for. I haven't been able to get a definitive answer on the student loan aspect from the Rehab program yet. I have an appointment at the end of this month so I will explore my options. I just was looking for some peace of mind in the meantime. I tend to get terrible anxiety over uncertainty. Thanks for your input
