Need Computer Help!

Hey guy's, I live in Canada, and have about 1100$ to spend on just a computer. I already have a monitor keyboard mouse etc. Please advise me what kind of computer to buy, and what kind of spec's it should have. If you could give me link's to whats good on Futureshop.ca or Bestbuy.ca it would be just rad. Thanks, Music.

 

Even though this is in the wrong forum... I would buy an AlienWare one if you are going to use it for gaming... of course the most expensive one is $5000+

Now it depends if your looking to build your own in which I suggest newegg.com.
If your looking for one already ready to go then you can also try Ebay although I am not sure how good those are but you can find one with pretty good specs for like $500 -600.

build it or get a premade HP/dell and throw a graphics card in there

That's a pretty beastly computer. Should be incredibly fast and its at a good price.

The graphics card is decent. It should be able to play games like WOW fine but if you want something more than you may want to updrage.

 

its weak for wow actually

you'd have to play at medium settings, the card is way underpowered even for that.

seems this thread got moved. I'll post up what I said on the other thread you had about this. OK, judging by your first post, it doesn't seem like you want to build it yourself so..

2x 4850's will give some strong performance, especially in CrossFire mode. Don't get one of those silly over priced Alienwares, you'll only get half the specs at the same price as this one.

But remember, if you really want a gaming system that's what the moneys worth, just build your own.

The specs for COD5 won't be extraordinary high (I believe) so if you are wondering about a single video card that can play it... I'd say at least a 8800GT for recommended.
