    Vegetarians? Why?

God.. I just read all the thread, and every single post.. I'm shocked with some people.. I will just simplify my oppinion in some sentences:

1- Animals DO feel. Ever saw a dog "crying" after beying hit by a car? I did. I have 3 cats and 1 dog and they do feel if i acidentally step on them (wich almost never happens) so don't tell me they feel less or something like that.

2- As many of you said before, "Animals are lower life forms so they must not feel as much as we do. We may kill them as they don't suffer so much". [Sarcasm] Well, we must eat something, so why don't we eat mentally hill people?? I guess that it's a good idea as they don't feel as much as we do.. -.-" [/Sarcasm]

    3-
If we have the right to live, why don't they? Just because they have fur and maybe a tail? Well, if it's because they're different, I'm gonna start killing emo's for food.

4- Animal's do understand and some of them have 27% of the human capability of understanding what surrounds us and solving puzzles and such, wich is amazing for a "lower life form" as you said.

5- I would like to see you in an island filled with lions and bears, just to see you running arround, searching for any grass you could find to eat.

I do not want to offent anyone and I ceartainly do not want to hurt anyone's feelings with my post but before you type something, think well about this.
I am not a vegetarian yet, but I will be soon. My mother thinks the same way as most of you and I respect that. I just think that killing animals to survive is necessary, but not when we can chose to kill "plants" instead, wich are 50x less developed. Thank you for your time and I would really apreciate if if you could reflect some minutes about this whole thread.

We vegetarians become so because we can't stand eating meat. The way they abuse the animals, kill them cruelly it's terrible.

1). The emotional reaction provided by a crying dog is fairly subjective.

2). It really depends on the mental illness that they have. Some illnesses, such as depression, hardly make one irrational.

3). We have the right to live because we are rational beings. Animals are not.

4). I wouldn't go so far as to say that animals are rational. There's a world of difference between us.

5). If we were thrown into the wild to fend for ourselves, we'd have spears, knives, and other weaponry in a rather short time. We'd end up on top fairly fast.

Humm.. I don't think that you could survive alone in the wild. I respect your oppinion though and you are right, but so am I and that's why we have the power of choice, making us able to decide to eat or not meat =D

Why would someone hurt their body like that? If you don't eat meat, you'll end up a midget, because you wont be getting any protein to grow. Its natural people, eat or be eaten, its been that way for the last millennium and wont ever stop.

    Vegetarians? Why?

I've posted this several times on this thread! Vegetarians grow up normally, are NOT stunted or otherwise weaker because of their diet. I have posted proof (like this) to show this, yet you people insist on staying ignorant and misinformed.

Could you wrestle with a bear? :p

I am not a vegetarian, but seriously been considering it as, exact opposite as Shredderbeam said, though they are less intelligent and have less rationality, they are beings on this world, they have nervous systems, and therefore shall not be treated as objects.

I mean this in the nicest way possible: Your a fucking retard. Meat is not the only source of protein in the world. Nuts, beans and hundreds of other vegetarian protein sources.

    Chuck Norris did it.

If I was with a group of people, and we were able to fashion spears, then we could kill it, or at least scare it off.

Yep, more pro-life (animal style) propaganda. I advice you to read The Great Fallacies of Vegetarianism - scroll down to the line "The Argument from Supposition".

Wow, I didn't know pro-vegetarian propaganda was being endorsed by every peer-reviewed study on this topic I've ever seen . My argument is not from supposition, since I am already taking the major confounding factors such as drinking, smoking etc into account.

It doesn't take a genius to realize the link between meat consumption, high cholesterol and saturated fat intake, and coronary heart disease.

Maybe you should take a look at the link to the study I posted previously, or just read the Wikipedia article, since that is well sourced.

EDIT: and in your last post, you claimed that vegetarian adolescents cannot get the proper nutrients during their teen years, and will probably die before they get old! That is complete crap, I will eat my hat if you can prove it!

    Vegetarians? Why?

My brother happens to be a vegetarian, but it has nothing to do with poor animals, etc. He just happened to see an animal get slaughtered infront of him as a kid. I think that probably has a huge imapact on his diet.

    P.S: I'm a meat eater, and for ever animal you vegetarians won't eat, I'll eat 5. :)
