99 Range Or 99 Mage?

I have a skiller and im bored of non combat stats. i was thinking about getting 99 mage but then i think 99 range would be better for f2p Bounty Hunter and maybe this new PvP thing but i thought i would just ask which one you guys think is better and more fun to train....
Leaning towards range atm...

 

Range would be better all around, 99 mage is more of a hassle than fun to train really, alching all day long =/= non-stop fun. And not to mention ranging is a lot more helpful.

 

Range is terrible. Not only does it cost lots of money, but you MUST deal damage, therefore raising your hp. You could curse 'til 99 mage and have 10hp... I believe that's possible...

Anyway, mage is better, hands down. You hit very high at low levels, not to mention high levels like 80+.

Not only that, but my GOD the cape is much better. Plus the accessories for mage are much better. Mage book, robes, Master wands, Beastly staves? Psh. Range, you fail.

I personally would get mage, however it can get expensive if do ice barrage.

 

Range owns mage hands down. You don't see many magers in BH.

 

Well if he said he wanted to do the new PvP or Bounty Hunter then having 10 Hp wouldn't be a good thing to have anyways..

Range is better for PvP hands down since it is much easier to KO people with and you can have some armor with more than 10 for a def bonus.

 

IMO mage is kinda messed up now, it can hardly solo anything, it is more of a "fun" or mixed skill (range/mage, etc.) Mages max is 30, while range/melee can virtually hit up into the 90s. Heck even summoning can do that.

99 Range, 99 mage waste when 94 is much easier, and funner

95 mage is really all you need for the highest spell, so get 99 range.

Range and my logic is this,

with range you could be killing different types of monsters fairly easily dispatching them with ease due to the fact that many monsters can be ranged easily. There's a lot of monsters to choose from that would be perfect for this, such as Blue Dragons, Hellhounds, Aviansies, Yaks, Black Dragons. And it's a good way to make money too, by killing blue Dragons, Hellhounds, and even Black Demons(mostly focusing on the Rune chain drops, and clue scrolls). It is also fairly cheap to level if you were to focus on getting fast exp, perfect example would be Yaks or Rock Crabs, even using it against Green Dragons, also Aviansies. With 13m worth of knives-that's saying you pay for 1gp per exp which would not be the case, but with 13m worth of knives(iron or steel) you would get 99 range.

As for Mage, you would be bored. The current best way to train it and not lose as much money is Hi-alching. Which other than being still fairly expensive, is rather boring.

I would honestly get 99 range. 99 Mage is pretty common, and well, boring (not saying range is) But hey, 99 range would help you out for the pvp.

range is really boring training imo. magic has more options for training, and in my experience is way more fun training than range.. but 99 range would be more for combat, but training mage to 95 or whatever would be more useful all around..

 

99 Mage could pwn 99 Range any day.
