I've just downloaded it easy pease.

After reviewing the Div Layout created by Riipped for a customer of his, I've been wanting to test out the DreamWeaver to make a layout for my very own myspace.

Does anyone have any tutorials or tips on HOW to even do this? Thanks<3.

Myspace isn't something you can make a layout for in DreamWeaver and have work, you need the knowledge of how to hand-code and the bugs and work-arounds needed for myspace as it blocks a lot of codes, esspecially the has symbol (#) so you cannot use any IDs on the divs or CSS, it must all be classed and you'll need to specifically target certain aspects of the code in your CSS to avoid conflict with not only your own code but the original myspace coding.

If you're a beginner you'd be better off just grabbing a pre-made shitty template and adding your own graphics.

Oh, and don't let dreamweaver do your coding or you'll get invalid buggy crappy coding, learn how to code yourself :)

Coding decent layouts is a lot of work :) at least when you've done it long enough it's a breeze.

    General rule of thumb...

Don't try to learn a program's way of programming, because more often than not... that program will be a language all of its own, and harder to learn than the actual language itself.

I'd advise just going through and looking at codes from several sites. Save them to your computer, and change em around to see which part changes which. That way you learn to read the coding, and are familiar with it at the same time.

Also, MySpace is VERY different than just general CSS. With such limitations, I guess you could learn that first, because if all you know is general css, learning MySpace will be a bit different :p.

Alright, we'll I've learned mostly all of the HTML myspace coding. Creating whore codes and S4S codes for small cash has gave me experience. As for DIV layouts, I see kids paying amounts and charing amounts from the $100s of dollars, just learning how to create amazing DIVs like "Riipped"s would be quite the money maker

It is, and if TDD would listen to me I could market him and make him rich...

As well as myself, cause programming makes even more ;).

Lol, but nooo, someone had to let Chrysys FAIL..

And yeah, Riipped's myspace layout was alright, but I've seen 10x better XD.

I don't want to teach people, I haven't the time, but I will however make myspaces for people if they pay me well enough for a proffesional one.

Screw this, I've figured out on how to make a DIV just like Riipped. I just need photoshop to resize and locate the picture and effects. DreamWeaver is just to fucking hard, it's been seven hours and I've hardly covered a paragraph of coding.

A good friend of mine owns a site named "Atomic Affliction" she's quite useful with guides and just wrote a few for me.

Haha, trust me, I've seen 100x better. :p I wasn't exactly pleased with it. I'll be back though, with much better work.

I mainly made it to refresh myself on coding since I havn't done much in a while. Coding divs is a pain in the ass though :\. Main reason why they cost so much is because not many people know how to do it well, so since I do know how to do it, it would be good to learn to make good layouts so I can take advantage of my knowledge and make some cash.>_<
