Regarding Hurricane Ike..

Hurricane Ike just hit us, in the southeast part of Texas. I am being affected by it, as well as many other people. I just wan't everyone to be careful, Stay with your family, and stay safe. Hopefully it will not do that much damage.

If I'm correct, it was a cat. 2, almost 3 when it made landfall on the border of texas. Wind's of 125+ MPH for hell's sake.. Power's been going on and off, flooding occuring in galveston etc.

Hurricane Ike is sending storms all the way up to missouri. Must be strong.

 

Not sure if anything's damaged. 2 AM would be the time it really hit's directly. We'll see all the damage around houston in the morning.

400 Mile radius. It was flooding Florida when it was in the gulf.. Pretty big.

 

Hanna hit me in NY just recently, I was all ready and prepared for it - but what happens? A pussy extension of a rainstorm. Pathetic failure weathermen.

 

I have watching the news at my placement and I wish you the best of luck as far is I know it should lessen to a cat 1 by mid day so I wish you the best of luck to anyone affected by this.

 

Haha, sorry to hear they made a big deal about nothing. They did that with Gustav for us, but it just hit mexico.

But i'm glad they made a big deal about this, it's pretty big. Most people by sea were able to evacuate, board up their windows, stock up on supplies, etc.

I live in Utah which is like impossible to be hit by a hurricane or a traveling tornado because of the mountains surrounding it

Hopefully nothing gets damaged, it'd suck majorly if your house was damaged or something.

 

I'm in Michigan and I'm getting storms because of Ike.

Oh and 9/10's of Houston is without any power, I'm at my aunt's house in Katy.
A LOT of damage around the city, Downtown is underwater and really damaged.

 

Same, we have a good 6 inches of standing water in our back yard. It's been raining for a couple days now too.

 

And you have nothing better to do that play on the internet.

Those damn rain clouds came over from Texas into my area (near Chicago), and some of the streets were flooded. When we were coming back from the city, we had to take like 8 different detours to get to our house.

 

99.9% of Houston was without power. And why did these threads get moved to spam forum?
