    So true!

I know I am new to this forum but since i have been here
I have seen how seriously some members take things.

It's suppose to be a happy community where people can talk about their gaming needs. :p

Last year nobody got a staff position before I knew them, call it coincidence ow whatever. But now, I see all these promotions of people I don't have a fucking clue are. I know I myself am not well known, nor am I the most active, but I see people who actually deserve positions being totally overlooked for unexplained reasons, and absolute faggots getting some positions.
I put it down to popularity. People now are getting ranks, which intended or not do result in an amount of respect just because they're popular with the current staff. In my eyes, this is backwards. People who deserve the ranks are the ones who should get it. People who are respected, not people the staff have the hots for.
Another point i would like to bring up is that of Finniscool. Again, he appeared out of nowhere. Told everyone he was a homosexual, and generally made a scene. He became popular with some staff members and in a matter of months became a Global. I personally have nothing agains Finniscool as a person, just the way he went around things. He did not represent staff the way they should be represented, as obnoxcious know-it-alls. Yet he got away with things nobody else would. I hate to name names, and i know i should put on my flame jacket now. But it's how it is.

    It shall be called coincidence.

Like I stated, out with the old, in with the new. That's what they're doing. No longer does it go on popularity, but moreso ability.

Finn had done well because he knew exactly how to manipulate. He did his job properly, he was respectful, and commanding (a GREAT trait for a leader), and he ensured the security and well-being of Sythe to the best of his ability.

Some say he got carried away, but don't we all... Eh Alex?...

It really doesn't matter, it is just a forum, and after all... it's not like it's died or anything.

Fouis is simply upset because things have changed, we all are. It's become saddening that the days of respect for the well respected doesn't matter anymore, instead it's all about new things.

Change isn't bad, except for what gets discarded.

Well said, [claps irl]. We need some trusty admins who actually are people, and don't banhammer just by expressing your opinion, or talking trash...

They have to do there job tho i just think the new mods get into the power to quickly they ban people and infract and often make mistakes there job is to first get there section straight before they get into other sections.

No, the community has definitely changed.
At one point, a certain level of intelligence was required to be a member of this community because this site was all about programming. If you didn't know how to program, you would learn fairly soon.

Now it's about the black market which attracts idiots of all sorts.
Not that that bothers you, R2Pleasant. You're just here for the money. I've been waiting to say that for a long time and now that I'm not staff, I can say it.

I wouldn't blame him either. If i'd made as much as he has, I'd stick around.

Well that's not how the staff at this site should think.

We should have staff who are here to help the community out - not make a buck. We should have staff who look out for the interests of the entire community - not just their customers. We should have staff who actually know something about what this site is about - not people who 'debate well', not people who 'manage donations', not people who have completed 23857345 GP sales and NOT people who don't give a crap what happens.

I'm not suggesting that I fit these criteria (I know next to nothing about RS cheating in terms of programming these days) but someone seriously needs to review some of our staff members.

I won't give any more names. It should be obvious.

R2 is a great mod. He does alot of it and holds up his end of his duties. His business is an 'on-the-side' thing and obviously an added incentive for him to stay.

    YEAH!

That's why we have Sythe anyways, the staff was always a buffer from that.

Richard was greedy and wanted his money, everyone else just maintained the community.

    It worked out great =/.

I have no problem with the blackmarkets. It's when the blackmarkets invade the rest of the forum that I have a problem.
The 11 year olds can stay in there trading their RS gee-peez and we get to stay out here hating them.
