why is robotz saying thursday when thursday is tomorrow and thats the 11th.
and the the website it says it will be released on the 7th. however its the 10the now and then it says it will be released on the 16th. wich one is it and im guessing it wasnt the 7th.

 

RID needs to *seriously* stop putting dates up.
People just whine when they aren't made.
If you said "Coming soon" or "When my computer is 100%", then there will be much less bitching.

 

Sorry shypiggy, I can't update the site till I retrieve the files from my broken down pc. It doesn't look like the part I ordered will arrive tomorrow, I payed extra for next business day delivery but that meant it should have arrived today, it's not here and not even been dispatched yet according to the company I bought from. I'll find out tomorrow, it could be that they're out of stock.

TJx I agree with you, but I always project an estimate based on what I know at the time, but of course, the bot won't come out until I retreive the files and make the final adjustments.

Unless the equipment arrives tomorrow I will not be able to make a release tomorrow. I'll find out what's going on with this delivery and once I am updated I'll let you know when to expect the release. Thanks

what part do you need a jump cable(im pretty sure thats what there called)? i got some extra if the place your ordered is out of stock.

 

id be majorly pissed if lets say.. you release this bot and rs have been watching every single progress report on this and SNAP, they completely change the MTA...
that would be what another few months offline if not longer?

 

In the development of V4, 90% of the work has been on giving the bot a new and much more sophisticated level of AI. Allowing it to obtain information or awareness of everything in the environment, by just reading the computer screen is a huge amount of work compared to using other techniques, but doing this all by just reading the screen is undetectable. From within the framework that is in place now, programming the RID servers with new training techniques is comparatively easy, but it can take time to refine and get it perfect.

If they completely changed the MTA, it would probably be about 1 month to program new training techniques from within the current V4 framework. I think people will be surprised by just how much has changed when V4 comes out.

Programming the RID servers to do new things, like PC shouldn't take more than a month or so once the bot itself is perfected.

On my other computer. I've got news about the part I ordered, and you guys should expect the bot on 13th Sept. While I've been waiting to get the files back I've done some work on modelling a human player's movements on a regular mouse (before the only option was touch-pad) so I can put this into the partial release of the Tele and Alch minigames.
