1227's Obby Mauler Guide P1

Welcome to 1227's Obby Mauler Guide
This is my first guide ever so try and not be too harsh.
Well let's begin.

So you want to be an obby mauler?
Maybe you seen level 32s hittin 25s. Maybe your bored and want to make a new account.
Maybe you are just reading this guide because you enjoy to read. I don't know. But one
thing is for certain, if you follow this guide, you will have an ownage obby mauler in
no time at all.


Making Your Character
Okay this is what begins your journey. Create your account. Try to be original with a
name so people you kill cn remember you. Something like Maul_u_all. The less numbers
you use the better in my opinion. Get out of the tutorial and continue to step Two.

+Money to Start With+
Now that your out of the tutorial I'm sure your itching to get started. I'm sure you
also notice your broke as can be. So first things first. Go to Barbarian Village, Do
stronghold of security this will get you 10k and some boots. Then do stronghold of
player safety and get 10k and 2 experience lamps worth 500 exp each. Use your lamps
on strength only and then go to the Grand Exchange.

+What to Buy+
Buy the Following things: Red Topaz Machete (the perfect weapon for obby maulers to
train strength with) Full Iron Armor, strength amulet, and as much food as you can
buy (trout preffered)




+Training+
And here my friends, come the fun part. You should have 9-10 strength from the lamps
so once you have 10 strength, lumbridge. Kill cows untill about 20-25 strength. Once
you have 25 Strength, Go to the edgeville Man house outside of the bank. Bank herbs
and bones for easy money. Kill these untill about 40 strength. This may take long but
it will be worth it in the end.

+Interventual Money Making+
Somewhere after you have got 40 strength you are going to need some money. I suggest
going to seers and picking flax and/or spinning it into bowstrings. The spinning
requires 10 crafting so if you do not have that, no worries flax is good money all
by itself. Do this untill you have 75-200k.


+Back to Work+
Now that you have all of this money burning a hole in your pocket, go buy the following:
Trout (lots of it, you will need it), Camalot teles. Now the training begins again. go
to rock crabs wearing your fancy outfit and with a full inventory of trout and camalot
tele tabs. Train there untill 60+ strength. Yes it will take a LONG time but believe me
it will pay off.

Slayer


Time to get the slayer staff. Getting 55 slayer is going to take a while considering your
stats. But once you get it from doing tasks it's time to get some magic.


Magic Training
You are going to need some money for this. Go to The Grand Exchange and buy 125 weakens and
1k curses.

not bad, but a few things..

Obby maulers are 1 EVERYTHING ...

getting MAYBE 34 prayer... any other stats, ruin it.

 

Quite a nice guide, I myself am actually making an obby mauler, but autoing the strength levels heehee.

 

Add this:

After finishing tutorial island, you now get two lamps with 250 experiance each in it.

recently quited my maul .... It's not good as i expected .... Stopped at 89 str , however i still use maul for msb spec + crush with maul for insane 80dmg + k0s

Also your name picking is pretty weird , names like maul y4r a11 looks pretty childish ....

I like names with style , heres few examples :

Young Crook,
Drilled Thug,
hot potato and so on ...

Good guide, but for training before 60 str, you should use amulet of glory, or fury

Why not bank the hides from training too? Takes longer but it basically makes picking flax useless. Your killing two birds with one stone so to speak if you banked hides from training.
