Our band, how bad is it? :[

I always thought Green Day covered this. Oh well, this has to be my favorite song period. You did we'll, be sure to update me when you get more songs done. Also, try making the singer sing a tad louder

 

Plan zero is the name of there band... by cover they meant they were covering greendays version The singer was fine for the most part maybe a little louder but it was mainly because the guitar was too loud.

For beginners you're not that bad you and the singer are fine but the guitarist is atrocious, he is too sloppy tell him if he can't play standing up to sit down and practice more standing up so he can get use to it because both are quite different.

 

Everything was okay but the guitar. The guitar seems pretty sloppy, he'll get it with practice.

The vocals fit the song well.

 

I didn't like the guitar that much, but it sounded great otherwise.

 

tell the guitarist to tap his foot to keep the beat.
He was all over the place.
(If your not good, don't turn it up).

 

I didn't listen to it all but the first minute and a half or so he was on Q but he was just really really sloppy on a really easy part. and even if he was good he shouldn't over step the singer.

 

At times he's off. He's just not that great all around. It's like 5 frickin' chords, easy. Needs a heck of a clean up.

 

its good. But your guitarist needs to lower his amp. Unless the camera makes the garage look small. I can barley hear the vocalist.

 

I liked it.
Guitarist was a Tiny bit sloppy in some parts.
And drums needs to be a bit lower in some.

 

Not bad. Most vocals I see trying to cover a song can barely sing like the original guy and your guy sings very similar to the actual singer.

 

Wow, the guitar is so complex.

1. Get a better amp. Preferably a Line 6 Spider. If you can't afford that, at least get a distortion petal and add some more feedback on that. Also, the guitarist seemed kind of lazy. Don't be afraid to get enthusiastic as it usually generates a better sound.

2. Bassist. I'm sure you already knew this was coming, so not much to say about that.

I'll add more if anything comes to mind. I have a band of my own, if you haven't concluded yet.

 

We're using a line 6 spider. :O

And bassist, yeah, working on it. No one in Maine plays the bass. Mostly because only old people and stoners live in maine..

..and robots.

 

Why a line 6? Marshall makes much better amps, if there gonna waste money on a new amp and are sure about having there band why not go for something better?

The guitarist was kinda lazy Not because he is lazy but because he hasn't been playing for too awful long if you took the time to watch each player you would notice. this.

Lastly what would any of that lead us to the conclusion that you were in a band?

For your bassist problem you should buy a schecter bass (cheap one probably would be best at your current state) and get one of your friends that already play guitar to play bass. it's not that hard going from guitar to bass after you have played for a while. and if you don't know anymore people who play guitar get a friend that might want to and have the band all go in on it if one person can't afford it.

Thanks for the advice, it really helps a lot. Also, not many people play guitar either. He's only played guitar for like, 2 months maybe. He's not very good but for 2 months I thinks he's amazing. At 2 months I could barely change between 2 power chords. Yeah he messed a few times but still.

 

Ya as I saw people said the guitarist and I will agree with them. You really shouldn't be putting out music with a guitarist that's been playing for that short of time. I have a friend that's been playing 7 years and thinks he's not good enough for a band yet

 

Without putting yourself out there, there is no way to get constructive criticism. No better practice than being critiqued

An this is youtube not a huge band..

 

Drums and Singing is good... Guitar can use improvement. Also you need a bass player.
