Currently we are updating the data by hand, however we are working on a automated system that update the price for us. It can take a while before this system is 100% functional, since we aren't the best scripters on the planet.

 

I remember there was a similar (auto-crawling) web-page advertised a couple of months ago here. Wonder what happened to them.
Anyway, the main problem I see with this idea is that usually gp sellers do not have up-to-date data on their pages. Purposefully or not, ultimately, defeating the purpose of your website, as users have to still contact each seller to make sure.
They even say price is too variable - changing many times throughout the day. So yeah, idk.

i think this is a non-argument since if a gold website says they sell for $0.28 and ask any price above or below, that is really weird and will ultimately be in their disadvantage.

Furthermore, there's something strange with gold prices changing multiple times a day. It can mean either there is literally no rsgp in circulation (which is not), or goldshops are essentially flipping gold in that they would sell for $0.19 if they bought it for $0.17, and sell for $0.25 if they bought it for $0.23. That in itself feels like bad practice since you could just hold on to your rsgp for a bit longer (stabilizing the price) and make more profit.

Anyhow I personally will not commit to coding a service like this one, there is no money to be made. Especially if you're updating the prices by hand its wasted time from the get-go. You need a lot of traffic in order for a website like this one to be valuable. Also the banner spot on Runescape3 – RSCompare is throwaway cash for goldshops since people literally see the best price right below it.
