Lol im going to have to save that one. Btw i agree mods are taking everything so serious back in the day when i didn't do much posting. The only thing they were tough on was scamming in the black market.

Well, there have been a lot of staff changes recently. Some would say it's a bad thing, but you need to realize that within this new group there are some very promising people. I'm not saying every new staff will end up working well within the system, but given some time I think many of them will fit in great. The problem with Sythe.org staff is that many of them are picked at a ripe age of 15/16, when they have a lot of free time and are at their peak in activity. However, go 1-2 years down the line and suddenly these kids have a lot more responsibilities and obligations that make it very hard to keep their activity up on the site.

It's therefore necessary to accept that once you are no longer able to contribute and fulfill the duties of your position, you must either step down or face demotion. In the end, this does probably result in a staff that is not as tightly knit as one where older, inactive members are able to maintain their position. This is due to the turnover of staff. On the other side though, it offers more staff positions to the users who are truly able to give their time to the site. There's nothing stopping old staffers to participate in the community, and it shouldn't be necessary to have moderation permissions to get respect.

Things are going alright around here, all things considered. Scammers continue to be taken caren of, the markets are active, and projects are being worked on as a community. You must also realize though that the community on this site is largely made up of younger people. It is perhaps you that is the one changing, and not the community itself.

I think sythe needs to get his shit together. Everything is falling apart. All of the respected people are leaving. Back in about January was the best times at sythe. It is slowly and surly falling apart.

I would have to agree fouis, most people that have only joined a few months ago think they are better than everyone else. I mean I have been here for almost 3 years now and yes I have been very active up until the bullshit accusations against me, and I have to say this is the worst I have seen sythe. Yes I remember the days when the staff was what only half the size that it is now? I'm not saying that its to big now, even though there is a lot of useless people around. But honestly having some of these unneeded people cause chaos.

For the most part I wouldn't blame any of this on the staff, to be honest I think that the way sythe is right now has a lot to do with all of the pompous pricks who are only starting their time here at sythe and probably have less pubic hair than I have on my left nut. But honestly some of these new whiny bitches who think they deserve what ever they want, and just the negative feel they bring to sythe has a lot to do with some of the bullshit that is going on.

You can never win against the retards who don't read the thread. :|

I wonder if Sythe had noticed that general activity from all the veterans has decreased ten-fold? I'm not calling myself a veteran, but I've been here long enough to know that back when I was new and all, Daily and x9 and such were all regularly posting on here.

    -_ <--Sythe's decline

I'm hardly even on Sythe anymore either. I'm almost always in IRC, and that's where anyone with common sense goes to have fun.

Anyway, I was going to write something meaningful, but I need to go to school and all my thoughts just flew out of my head. >.>

Yeah I have noticed a difference since I have been here, and I am continuing to notice a shift in how things work and the attitude people have around here. Not all of it is bad but just different.

    But to you Fouisgras

the first thing you people all have to accept is that Sythe does not care about his website or any of its members, meaning you

and sythe.org itself isn't going to get better until the person who runs it steps up to the plate and works to make it better, which he hasn't before and isn't going to

True, but in a reasonable way.

Sythe's a businessman first and a family guy second.

This is not a democracy. Rules CAN be bent to an extent. I can say that if you posted something somewhat spammy as a respected member you might not get as much notice as a new member would. It's not ZOMFG CORRUPT!11!!1, it's just life.

Although i'm fairly new to sythe, I've been lurking around here forever because I've used the IRC daily for a year and half or more now, And I also see the change.

I would have to say the only mod that still acts like the old sythe mods would be cp, Zypur was demodded so I can't really count him.
