help !..is training strength through slayer any good?

ok so im currently 83 strength,going for 99, been training it with slayer for a lil while now, 65 slayer.....so im just wondering is what im doing a good idea and is it any good?

Yes training on slayer monsters is actually preffered, as your making alot of gp along with a ton of xp

 

I believe training slayer is the most efficient way to max your combat level. I believe fighting controlled using a cannon is the best method. However if you are only training strength this is not as bad as you are training 3 skills at once (hp, strength, and slayer). I would suggest to continue training your combat through slayer. It may give you slightly slower xp but it is in fact more efficient if you plan to achieve all the skill capes.

 

yes, any combat is good for training

 

itd be slower then just training strength, but u get charms, slayer exp and money with it. so i would advise to go thru with the slayer way for abit. then way maybe around lvl 90 str then go hard out str exp training for tonnes of hours for a few days =]

 

yee training str trough slayer is a great way, only training strength is better, but its great for ur slayer xp, and u will make money trough slayer to.

I think its very usefull because u can use slayer helm, u get good drops from monsters, and its not boring because u get different tasks.

 

bandits for max xp and relaxing witout always clickign slayer if you want drops and slayer up and whatnot

Yeah, it's really good. I slayed 99 attack/strength, and working on defence now. I now have 90 slayer and have made 35m+ from slayer.. so yeah slayer all the way

Yes because if you don't start slayer now you will regret it later.

 

yes, whenever i train my cb skills (except for mage and prayer) i do slayer since u get money from drops, charms for summoning, xp for str and slayer which means more total xp.

 

Slayer is the way to go.

 

I dont see the huge attraction with slayer, i find the tasks repetative and boring.
I imagine your using d scimi why not get 99 strength fast than go for 99 attack doing slayer with the good old whip.

 

The slayer task monsters are sometimes OK, but don't solely rely on them for XP.
