i come from vary... rich family... i have a retarded cuz he had no chose in becoming retarded, like you had no chose in being born in your family same with me, which still includes the people that can not do anything about their current situation, IN MOST CASES in the US poverty makes poverty it's really hard to get out of it, not hard getting in it.

so its not hard to take very addictive drugs like ice and heroin and end up spending your weeks wages on 1 hit then left wanting more? i dont feel bad for drug takers/dealers but put yourselves in the shoes of those who have no choice.

isn't it their fault if they are homeless. I saw a homeless man buying 5 boxes (the huge ones at 7/11) of cigs. he spent over $100 on them

I think this is why I don't like you. You are the first person on sythe that I truly do not like =(. You know someone who's bi like yourself should learn to be more accepting.

I do take pity. After 9/11 there was a woman from Sweden who's apartment was too close to the zone. She had no family in the states they were all back in Sweden. So she had no home, we took her in and she stayed in the spare apartment for like 2 months.
I always donate my clothes that I have outgrown the outreach places, and every year my mom gathers cans of food for the homeless.

Although I know it's not my responsibility I still feel horrible because lets face it some people have it easy, and some get dealt the short straw. Homelss don't have a family, don't have any money.

DON'T say "well they have to get up stop being lazy and get an education" How the fuck are they supposed to do that when they don't have a family or money.
That's why we have the leisure to sit on our asses and go on sythe. . .because of family etc. . .

If you donate to them, they don't even get all the money. It's stupid. On the other hand, I do feel sorry for them.

I wouldn't necessarilyy say that the people in Ethiopia is there struggling and dying of starvation because of them being lazy. They really didn't have any choice as they were born into it. However, those who are homeless is a different case. I believe that they are just simply lazy and deserve it.

Why are they my problem? Tbh, I'm a very cold-hearted person, and couldn't care less about starvation, dying, etc. If they got into that situation, that's their fault. If it was bad luck, oh well, you must deal with the cards you're dealt.

Yeah, i definitely feel sorry for them.

Sometimes it's their fault they got into that mess, but more likely than not it's not their fault.

Do you know most people that are homeless in the USA usually served in the war?

I don't pity anyone, all that pity can be is a bad feeling.
I don't like feeling bad so I ignore it if I see a homeless person or a starving person in Africa...because you have to think, how long have those people been starving or been homeless....It is a way of life for them, they might not like it. Just the same as I don't like paying taxes to the government who set up homes for the homeless and relief for the starving.

I will of course help anyone who is desperate need of help. (I can't afford to fly to Africa so don't post that BS)

Fuck, you have no heart. I only pity those that were born like in Africa, meaning they don't have much chance. To the alcoholics (etc) then it's there own fault. They must of seen it coming at one point decided to do nothing about it. They got themselves into there own mess.

I personally don't give a damn when I see a poor family who are doing f*ck all about it, like those on the "Doll" in England, which is sitting about doing nothing and getting payed by the government for it.

I do care when I see people who are suffering that are actually trying to get out of their trouble. I've been using www.kiva.org for a while now, which you donate money on and it goes directly to a family of your choice, who are trying to set up shop or something along those lines.

I am happy to see my own personal money go to good use like that, but I couldn't care less if some obese American kid's parents have no money for another cheeseburger for him, because they choose not to work when they're perfectly able.
    (No offence to anyone here)

I would feel sorry for them if I got to know them... But seeing it on the news every night has desensitized me.
