Brans, 'I'm waiting for an old friend', to Sam, and for it to be Jamie was awesome.

 

The wait was insane but the latest episode last night made it so worth it

 

I absolutely hate that this is the last season and it's only 6 episodes. Makes me really sad while watching each one.

 

Last scene with Jamie tho.

Next episode's gonna be good.

 

Ep 3, 82mins long. Should be amazing.

 

Decent episode, but I had some major issues.

Arya killing the Knight King like that was super anti climatic and unrealistic. You’re telling me that the Night King got ambushed with hundreds of allies around him and Bran? Cheap way of going out.

Also, how did all of the major characters on the front line (Jaime, Brienne, Grey Worm, Clegane, Podrick etc) survive? They were literally in the FRONT LINES. I’m happy they survived, but it seems very unrealistic.

 

I too, expected more.

Remember though, when Arya sneaks up on Jon in s8 e1, and Jon remarks, 'how did you sneak up on me' - cheap cop out, but nonetheless relevant to Arya's skill.

Was let down by the NK dying so easily...expected at least some dialogue between him and Bran, something to justify all the hype. Also, I hope they explain what Bran has actually been doing, specifically, this episode. Pre much been playing crow simulator.

 

I was expecting something like this. NK's death just feels weird and disappointing after all the hype.

 

I agree with this sooo much, Feels really lazy. Idk how many seasons have literally been dedicated to the build up for the battle to last 1 episode and give almost 0 back story as to why he was doing what he was doing or much closure to it. Its just kinda disappointing imo

 

Was essentially just unfulfilling, and lacking depth. I recall GRRM saying once in his interviews we may never know the true purpose of the White Walkers, and the NK. Basically, the purpose they were created for (to fight Men, as created by the CoF) is simply why they exist and do what they do. They aren't evil, nor are they good. They simply do as what they were created for. I do agree however, having most seasons thus far, if not more, build up the WW and the NK, and having the whole plot circle around it, only to end as such is a huge let down.

 

This is true. He said that he never wrote how GOT ended or what happened afterwards. I believe it’s now the director who’s writing the end. But let me just say, they’re doing a hell of a job.

 

I don't think I've ever been this disappointed by a villain's death.

I'm hoping the ending is better than this though.
