Fuck account trading

I want to make this thread to speak on the fact that my messages have been being removed from three different threads. While I understand that the process is to complete a scam report, I also think some of you will understand that to save someone else from going through what I have you want me to spend all of my time documenting evidence and filling out necessary paperwork. Even after I do all of that I will not be receiving any of my money back. You choosing to delete my comments on these peoples posts and “vouches” threads makes you just as if not more accountable for these scams. Why do people posting random shit on vouches threads with no proof get to stay, making it seem legit for people, when legitimate scammed players need to have an abundance of evidence to be believed. The VAST majority of account traders on this site are only here for free money. This whole site is a bed for people to scam and there are probably 3 people who trade legit and not a single legit account trader.

To be fair those are both obvious untrustworthy sellers. (The accounts you linked in above post).

There are many, many legit gold sellers on this website. Take the time to educate yourself on the ins and outs of trading. Maybe use a middleman next time. I am sorry to see that youve been scammed for 1b osrs gp.

 

The post is about account trading. You are correct for gold trading. Account trading is 99% scammers. And it’s bullshit.

 

What is the point in those. They should trust people saying they got scammed as much if not more than people saying someone is legit. And I won’t get any money back.

 

I agree. I lost out on 380$ once. Account trading should always be taken at own risk with high chance of recoveries. I am sorry to hear that.

Make the report, and if i really happened - the person will be banned.

There’s many reasons into making reports. One being without the scammer being reported opens up the opportunity for them to take someone else’s gold as well.

There’s many things you should be looking at before going ahead with a trade with someone for big amounts.

How old their sythe account is, how active they are, their previous trades. Are they the seller or the buyer? As stated above you should start using middlemen, although most of them have a fee it’s definitely worth paying.

Personally if it was me I wouldn’t be buying accounts off people that haven’t got a long history of selling accounts.

 

that sucks, if you read around you should know to literally not trust either of them. I had a suggestion that should include a pop-up when newcomers enter into the account trading section, but I guess it hasn't been implemented yet - this is yet another reason why it would be good for the community.

 

Good eye, literally just put their username in google with the word scam afterwards and you have your results.

 

I agree with this a lot. I see now that they’ve been pointed out the red flags on those accounts. But as a new person to the forum here specifically for account trading I had no idea to look for those things.

 

If this is the case, why did I just receive a spamming warning for posting on their page that they are scamming. That’s my point, the scam report system is fucking dumb.

 

No it's not ... if you have a valid report they will no longer be able to trade on this forum.

@TheLordSatan - We have a system in place. If you were scammed you need to provide a valid scam report for us to take action. Without a valid scam report, these are nothing but claims.

Why is it important for a valid scam report?
1. Impostors exist, users can be scammed by someone else and not the actual user they are reporting.
2. Malicious users can create throwaway accounts to make false claims on competitors.

I'm not saying either of these are the case, but we cannot ban someone based on word. This is a poor practice and sets a very bad precedent for future cases.

You have motivation in reporting these users as you can actually get your funds back by applying for our community repayment fund or from the user pardoning in the future.

 

This may sound harsh, but you only have yourself to blame. Look at the people you were buying accounts from - sketchy as fuck x1000. As for why you should fill the info required in scam report; it takes max 5-10min and could save someone else from getting scammed. Are you going to get your money back? No. Could it prevent future scams? Yes.

If you ever decide to invest heavily in accounts, I'd recommend to make a fresh account yourself and have someone lvl it up for you. It's probably not going to be as good as the 750m account, but at least you won't have to think about recovers. One last point, buy services from actual legit people with several 100+ vouches.

 

So you don't care that they can just go scam the next person?

What if someone just as arrogant as you was scammed by that very person previously, and didn't bother getting them banned for it? You wouldn't have lost out.

why would Sythe moderators be held accountable? The “scammer” needs to be proven guilty before they are terminated here, if you say they are a scammer, prove it. If you can’t prove it than it’s just hear say.
