    Youth Crime Epidemic

Personally I've always been brought up to be a good person, i've made mistakes, but so has everyone else. In Australia youths are untouchable, just a week ago some kids were bragging about how they got bail on there chargers.

I've been watching the news lately and it's getting worse and worse, I personally work in a Bottle Shop and i'm just happy everything is locked up.
    - News piece of the problem within Australia

My experience - 15 Yr Fivebots
My experience with this was about 4 to 5 years ago i was about 15ish, walking home from school with a mate of my to take the train home, and some kid around 12 came up to my friend (My friend is a the classic skinny nerd, no muscle ect.) I step between it and kicked the kid pretty hard, then got bashed from his mates who were double the size of me probs 17-19 years old because of me defending my mate. I was so angry when I found out he got away with a month good behavior. Sometimes I wish I actually tried to hurt the kid.

Overall I want to ask is this a world wide problem in western civilization or is this an issue within australia?
Also whats your opinion on this topic?

I was severely troubled and did alot of dumb shit 12-18 the second I turned 18 it all went away because I knew if I continued it would only get worse and the punishment would be severe as I would be an adult. A big thing is lack of parenting my parents were absent as they had to deal with alot. I basically raised myself lol. Kids this days have no recollection on what could happen to them.

    Youth Crime Epidemic

I was raised quite well as-well and my head still caught a few bumps while rolling through life.

Up until about three years or so ago i was property of the state ever since 2momtha aftee turnimg 17 - My last parole violation however gave me a 14 month life debt aswell as total release paper afterwards.

However, before that, from 17-25 it was like a bad “never-ending reocicurring” acid trip. I was back and forth, a year here, a year there. Get out, group up with the same energies that were keeping me burried. Then it was a rewind amd replay.

Not pointing any blame to anyone aside from me.

Although, the initial case i picked up which ultimitaley took my first year away from me was miniscule compared to the 40-50 year old dudes in there getting served 120 days for getting busted shaking meth in bottles while driving from the stores they stole half the ingredients from lol.

The only thing that rattles my head group of 40-50 year old dudes at the time all getting 120 day sentences for getting pulled over shaking bottles of keth while leaving the store they stole half the shit from lmao. Ever since my first go around years ago, the youth has really gotten worse - on more of disrepectful level.

You live what you learn, 10/10 of them cant be born that way lol. They are lacking structure and discipline - Kids are simply having kids themselves earloer and earlier. Leaving the new kids to with grandparemts who more than not likely spoils them. Or babysitters who allow full reign to do as they please cause she’s too busy taking care of her baby. All while the new babys mom and dad are busy being 16-2? Yr old.
^^^^Some young ones muscle up and accept reality.

I have younger family members with mutliple kids amd no job aswell as visa versa.
Sorry for the book response, the title question has weighed heavy on my head for lomger than a couple years.

    TL;DR
Your right, im sure the statistics of youth crime has been crazy within the last 15 years.

That's parts close and spread out America as well - Hell, everywhere I would guess.

Looking in from the outside though, I see in time these young age groups causing these moral-less actions seem to be getting younger, and younger through generation.

    But idk.

They're getting younger and younger for sure.

To be fair, some of these people had it coming. On news they tell sad stories about the victims, but leave out the fact they jacked the ones who ended up stabbing them. Speaking from personal knowledge here in Norway.

As a side note, UK is crazy. Really crazy.

    On, for sure.

Other factors could come into play here as well though.

If the youngster whom gets stabbed for jacking someone is set on a seemingly innocent mission by someone whom holds high value in their eyes - Manipulation is a terrible factor due to older ones blindly crafting the younger ones into crash test dummies for personal gains.

These same younger kids can be manipulated to be scapegoats for jacking that had tnothing o do with them as well.

    Also personal knowledge.

That happens a lot. Brainwashing kids to commit shitty acts on behalf of elders. Using youngsters as their pawns is probably the main reason for youth crimes skyrocketing.

Let me get this straight - you were 15 years old and attacked a 12 year old child who was surrounded by friends twice your size? Can I ask what the logic was here? Or at least what your thought process was? And who's the one who got away with a month good behaviour?

We're living in a time where paying attention to someone or something is at it's lowest. Parents working constantly, everybody's on their phone, loneliness - this affects kids. And the number of these attention-depraved kids is growing. Ultimately, whatever they do, it's just for attention.

Remember how smoking cigarettes got peoples attention in middle school? Now they do the same with weed just for someone to notice them..

I didn't attack me, he did punch me 9-10 times before I reacted (self defense, the police said I was in the right)
Didn't notice his mates who were older then me (17+)
He was being used most likely to steal phone
The kid got 1 month good behavior for attempted theft, assault, ect. (other stuff as well which isn't related to me)

It's my experience i'm showing how My friend did nothing and got attacked from a youth

I'm discussing youth crime in general thanks, this was over 4 years ago and shit is still getting worse. Mainly because the laws protect them

Imagine how it is in North America. Kids bringing guns to school, drugs to school, etc. I've been to some pretty terrible parts of the Big Apple and it's almost like a 3rd world country within a 1st world country.

I'm sorry, I wasn't there, maybe he was a very big 12 year old. I should give you the benefit of the doubt.

I mean I can tell you for certain you'r spot on man. It's the lack of maturity and respect people hold for not only themselves, but society as a whole. We all screw up as kids and I can say I was one of them, but theres nothing like a success story of someone hitting rock bottom to hitting something they aspired to be. All life lessons come from the worst mistakes and you might not even realize till years after. Life's a game, you pick your cards.

i think this is credited to younger people thinking it's "cool" or "edgy" to be a "bad boy"
