Do you make a living from Sythe?

Just interested in seeing this. A lot of people say the black market/rwt scene is one of the most lucrative in gaming - does anybody have any numbers they're willing to share? I know @Liam did q/a videos on YouTube where he said he made 2k usd a week from gold selling.

Do you find Sythe lucrative?

 

Hard to believe $2000 per week, you would need to be taking 3% profit for $66,667 in sales, thats fliping for 07 gp / rs3 gp for btc or for Paypal, etc. I would say, 12% profit, $16,666 worth of buys.

Thinking about it, it's possible. It's a good estimate for your imagination, you could look at people's vouch pages and see how much worth of transaction they do per week if you're really curious.

 

Not currently but at one point I was certainly doing just fine off of it, with the potential to make a living. Decided to invest in a more secure future than here though.

Only the large gold site owners/workers do, then probably people like Laziz and Dieze.

It's pretty stupid to rely on sythe though. In a few years when RS is gone, good luck telling employers how you spent the last few years of your life flipping Runescape gold with 0 skills.

I think you fail to understand that majority of people that do it for a living do not live in a first world country.

 

atm im treating sythe as my side income to hit my 6 figure income. where i live it would be terrible to try to use sythe as a main source of income

 

People claim all kinds of incomes off Sythe, but few are telling the truth. It's like others have said, it may have cool short-term returns when you're 17 and the alternative is a minimum wage job, but in the long run you're screwing yourself because you'll end up with no skills for the real world post Runescape.

The profit margins from the video OP is referring to was like .15cents profit off each million GP sold. Thats ridiculous and nearly impossible to maintain (whether finding GP .15 lower than sell, or finding people to pay .15 over what you paid). The profit margins are MUCH lower, excluding the PayPal selling websites that tax.

There are people who rely on Sythe for a large part of their income, but I would safely say very, very few have this as their sole income and IF it is - I promise it's a pretty shitty, cheap, paycheck-to-paycheck way of living. I personally B/S/T on here for fun because I simply make very good money with my IRL work (and also a college senior currently). Would never invest/rely on Sythe/Runescape/BlackMarket for income personally.
