How to survive high school?

well I'm starting highschool tomorrow and I want to know how to survive it.

some say highschool is like a game? how do i be pro at it? xD

 

If you're decent/good at sports you can try and join the various teams, good way of meeting people that share some interests.

 

sports is not my thing :S

 

Don't be stupid. Don't 'try to be funny' if you know your not up there in the popularity charts.

Just lie low, make friends with the cooler kids and make your way up.

 

Alternatively you could find some people who are into anime/computergames, shouldn't be too hard. Just be yourself and build plenty of bridges between yourself and others.

 

If you have friends in the upper classes it helps. Just stick to the friends that you have been hanging out with. Just because you're in high school doesn't mean you need to change friends.

 

I'm starting tuesday, what I'm gonna do, is be chilled and try not to get all nervous, talk to some people who I may see everyday be friendly but not overly friendly.
my bro told me the best way to have the older guys respect you is to play tougher sports (football or rugby)
and basically be yourself and a good way to survive will be give a good first impression to your teachers, may help you in the long run or making sports teams or anything else you may want.
I don't know anybody going to my school accept my bro who's already there and a girl who added me on facebook
so I'm hoping to make some friends and use the info I just said and hopefully I'll get in good, people don't usually hate me so I think I'll be good

 

Get a circle of friends with similar interests to yourself and hell to everyone else, do homework the second you get home every day and then do whatever you want. That method worked for me anyway

 

its not very different from middle school, except its harder


just do what the fat controller says, do your homework right away. it will build a good habit and your still in school mode so you´ll get it done faster.

 

yeah I heard bout that getting your work done right when you come back from school because youre still in the "work" zone or something. but the thing is, im always thinking about going on the computer and the only thing i wanna do when i get home is go on the computer. lol im a nerd.

 

Just chill during school, make friends with upper classmen, try out for any sport(cross-country is an 'easy' sport if you jog alot). Most importantly CHILL and dont suck up to the teachers

Or just be yourself.

Also, quit the computer. Go on in healthy doses.

Go, get your work done, get an education, and gtfo. Stop messin' around like a panzy ass bitch makin friends and shiz. That's just dumb.

You meet people you like, you associate with them, you act social, but just remember that none of it fuckin matters. Get your degree, and get the fuck out. You don't need anything else from high school so don't play it up.

Just do your work.. try to join some clubs that you and people you like are interested in.. and watch your back on friday

 

Act mature is the best advice I can give. My freshman year was fine, my brother was a senior and popular so nobody really messed with me.
